it makes me so happy to see the effect, allbeit small effect, that this song has had on a select few people
I like seeing people realize that undertale music (especially sans themes) can experiment with tone and genre and that you can create a utc song that genuinely makes you feel something. 
you don't have to make a Megalovania , you don't have to make what's popular, and you don't have to follow the norm. you don't need earthbound or Undertale instruments, you don't need a fancy DAW. this was basically made in beepbox, which is pretty notoriously limiting. 

you're allowed to be creative, it's a right you should exercise freely and to your own enjoyment.

basically, painkillers main purpose originally was to give negatale ( the SAD AU ) an actually sad theme. the original version ended up being altrock slop, though, so v2 ( this ) was made.

this fight takes place during the pacifist route...
through the course of my negatale take, sans believes the only way to free himself from the undergound is to end his own life. 
during the painkiller fight, the human tries to convince sans not to. 
...killing him instead would result in a sort of 'weird route' which im yet to build on. 
so, yes, this is a pacifist theme.   


Ive had a few people ask how i got the mood down with the guitar 
find a powerchord, take the 5th and make the lead always circle back to that note 
dont use chords or notes with too much range between notes 
DONT use harmonic minor, write in minor in a lower key such as d 
make the guitar the bass, the more instruments you have to add the less the listener'll be able to focus on the lead, which is whats setting the mood 
the lead should have a 1 or 2 note chord attached that doesnt include notes from the bar of the lead its backing. 
Piano is not sad, you corny mf 
also dont use much highend frequencies 
DO NOT GO ABOVE 180 BPM BTW

Dusttale - False Vacuum Decay

Mostly unreleased, Some saw a few glimpses through pessimism archive (?) i believe anyways.

This was quite possibly the most overambitious and messy project I've ever made. This was done entirely in one FLP, And took 40 GB of ram when fully loaded. TBH, The final mix ended up being worse than the pre-mixes. That's what happens when you go in with too much ego to acknowledge flaws, I suppose. Regardless, I left this here for the sake of unbiased archival.

In my honest opinion, 30 percent of this goes crazy, 70 percent kinda just does NOT hit at all. This was created way before Denial (II) Though.
