A common theme in science fiction deals with contact between humanity and life from other star systems, often enabled by spaceships that can travel at superluminal speeds. Here on earth, music is something that has the power to transcend cultural and linguistic differences and bring people from all walks of life together in a shared experience. This EP builds on this theme of bridging the divide between people through music and through the trance dance experience. Featuring two solo tracks as well as collaborations with Argonik, Daksinamurti & Eritas, this EP aims to take the listener on a journey towards a future that recognizes our shared humanity, towards a world-based on compassion and rationality.

Michael Elishkov, aka Basaltic, is a 37-year-old dark psytrance artist from Holon, Israel. His music is a hypnotic blend of deep, atmospheric soundscapes and old-school dark psychedelic energy, drawing inspiration from the golden years of the genre (2004-2005). With a balanced BPM and a fusion of eerie melodies and raw intensity, Basaltic crafts sonic journeys that transport listeners through cosmic landscapes, dense forests, and shadowy depths.

Over the past five years, Basaltic has honed his craft and released music on renowned international labels such as Banyan Records, Visionary Shamanic, and Egohunter Records. His artistic vision is influenced by the legendary Kindanza, whose early works shaped his unique approach to sound design. His sets capture the essence of dark psy while introducing a melodic and immersive dimension that sets him apart.

This is the ninth set in Shaman Booking’s ongoing project to promote Israeli artists and showcase original talent to a global audience. As Basaltic continues to push the boundaries of the genre, this set is an invitation to dive into his sonic universe and experience the dark, meditative power of his music.
