I spent a year playing and travelling in Australia long ago and then did solo stuff and formed band BACKDOORMEN BLUESBAND in Cornwall in 1986. Backed up loads of blues/rock artists like Screaming Lord Sutch and  Geno Washington, David Nelson, Banana from the Youngbloods, Barry Melton, supported Big Town Playboys, Eddie Kirkland, Joe Eley, Chicken Shack, Dr Feelgood WITH Lee Brilleaux, Zambula, in a rockin' Cornish decade.
 I joined Julian Piper’s Junkyard Angels in 1994 and backed up Tabby Thomas, from the Excello label and toured UK. Did festivals in Colne, Ireland including Cork Jazz Festival, Belgium with Muddy Waters band and Baton Rouge Blues Festival in the States.  Played Tabby’s Blues Box, one of the last of the Southern juke joints, with Chris Thomas King and Henry Gray, and played on The King Biscuit Blues Show out of Helena Arkansas in 2007.  Supported Peter Green and memorably, Robert Plant with Julian piper in a duo and did a spot with Hubert Sumlin. 
Now I’ve gone back to my roots. Amplified acoustic guitars, standard and slide tunings, including a battered Stella I bought in Clarkesdale, Mississippi, through a Fender amp. with harp in a rack and a plug in footboard. I like to do my own stuff, that’s the backbone of my set, but can’t resist some classics like early rock n’ roll, Muddy, even the occasional Dylan cover. I love the sound of that blues harp, acoustic or amplified and do a few solo harp and vocal work-outs as well. I just try to keep the good stuff live and kickin’ !
