This piece was/is inspired by the upcoming play, "Black Boy Down" by Tiara_AM (my wife).  It was placed on her heart to write a play expressing her acknowledgement and feelings of the ongoing losing battle between law enforcement and our young black brothers.

Southern Atlanta native, formerly named DreTL, has been writing since he was 9 years old.  From a composition book full of unheard poems and verses in a closet in Jonesboro, GA to recording and performing in Houston, TX, this once braggadocious rapper continues to evolve.  Punchlines and battle rap style was his trademark, yet being the oldest son of an Army man and preacher's daughter, respect and God have always been in the fabric of his build up.

From catchy commercialism to conscious, the content still wasn't enough to appease the core of his artistry.  God sends an angel by the name of Tiara Mays who impressed upon him to us his gift to give back to God.  With prayer, practice and work from the Lord, we have a King who writes for the King of Kings.

King M!ke is recently completed 3 part lyrical series "Life Tutorials" with Session 3 (found Tidal and Spotify) and now working on a compilation with his wife, Tiara AM and preparing for his grand project, "New Millennium David".  Stay tuned as he uses his creativity for the Creator.
