To announce the beginning of my "Monthly Pulse Reworks" project, and to pay a tribute to our beloved and gone too soon King Of Pop, here is a brand new rework of the beautiful song "What Goes Around Comes Around" from MJ's album "Ben", released in 1972 on Motown.
I re-arranged all the drums, percussions, bass, added some keys, and even created a whole jazzy part in the middle, that you will surely like !

Just after the release of her magnificent Watergate-Compilation we are glad to announce La Fleur's new EP. "Arms Around" and "Stella" already appeared as exclusive material on "Watergate 16" and will be available as stand-alone versions on Watergate's in-house label.

The eponymous track is reminiscent of the melodic early-noughties, arouses nostalgia and makes us want to dance barefooted in the sunlight. The dreamy, synth-driven break guarantees a proverbial "Arms Around"-effect on the floor, just before the euphoric bassline kicks in again, accompanied by rattling hi-hats.

On the contrary, "Stella" is a reduced deep-house track, carried by filtered pads, vocal shreds and a never ending groove.

"Arms Around" was remixed by nobody less than Carl Craig. His "Affected Rmx" keeps the originals' charm but increases its intensity with precise accents.

I added new drums to give a stronger feel, a bit housy, and edited it to make it DJ friendly.

"Nu-disco newcomer Eau Claire is bringing Stevie Wonder's "Uptight" into the modern age. The original song was released almost 40 years ago, but the Washington, DC-based DJ/producer adds a thumping beat, infectious piano melodies and an array of synthesizers to the oldies jam to update it for today's dance floor.  

The track starts with an Oliver Nelson-esque backbeat before Stevie's lyrics about his romance with a high class woman come in. The piano jumps on top of the vocals, taking over the listener's ears and body. Synthesizer lines playfully bound around the lyrics before Stevie gets into his first chorus and second verse with a deep beat backing him up. Everything comes to a climax around the middle of the third minute, with Eau Claire daring her audience not to dance to the irresistible tune."

If you copped the first volume then you'll know exactly what's on the menu; funk, soul and disco grooves and no messin' around! We head straight to the club on the A-side with "Enjoy & Relax", as Young Pulse reworks (or is that remixes?) Rhyze's soulful disco stomper to perfection. The re-EQed kick and bubbly bassline are as meaty as your local charcuterie, while the uplifting chord progression adds a subtle hint of fromage to get your tastebuds working overtime. Icona Pop and electronic duo Louis the Child have teamed up for a new song called "Weekend." They've shared a video for the song, in which Icona Pop sing as a group of youths—shirtless, rowdy, free—enjoy the titular weekend. Watch it below. "We work hard and play hard, we are constantly jet lagged and we do things at weird times," Icona Pop said in a statement. "This song is about our beautiful chaos that we think a lot of people can relate to." Louis the Child shared a statement, too: “The idea for this song was started on a cruise ship, developed in an airport, and finished with a bunch of friends in the studio. Music is a non-stop lifestyle.”

Belgian in origin, Igor Vicente and DkA join forces to create two monster tracks for their 'Haus Boo EP' on Hot Creations. Championed by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed it arrives hot on the heels of Hot Creations’s Paradise events series announcement for Ibiza 2016, this is music made for those heady nights on the DC10 terrace.

On the A-side is 'Haus Boo' which the guys created after being inspired by the all time classic The House Master Boyz and The Rude Boy Of House 'House Nation'. Taking the release into a much darker realm is 'Shady' with a seriously addictive beat, endless high-hats and relentless snares.

Infatuated with music from a young age, Igor Vicente founded the Belgian Wildfamily Parties in which Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Dinky and Matthew Styles among others have all played. Some years later he formed one half of Ultrasone, and has released on Get Physical, Mobilee and Hot Creations multiple times. These days you can catch him playing at one of his two residencies in Belgium, Cafe d'Anvers and Fuse, and founding the label State of Flow.

DkA has his roots firmly placed in the house music scene and has taken his sounds all over Europe, whilst releasing on Get Physical Music, Mobilee Records and Play Label Records to name just a few.
