Nine-piece Brighton/London based band, Resonators, have firmly established themselves on the dub reggae scene, finding a unique and distinct sound. Rooted in 60/70s reggae, Resonators embrace diverse influences, making their music relevant in todays Bass Music culture and reminding us of reggaeʼs uplifting influence on the dance floor.

Inspired by the meditative quality and universal appeal of Jamaican roots music the band radiate a playful and unified stage presence. The two lead singers Kassia Zermon and Faye Houston wipe away the notion of the big-ego front man whilst Darren JamTone provides live dub effects, and the balance is set.

Following its release in 2010, Resonatorsʼ eponymous debut album gained worldwide and national radio support on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and Kiss FM from the likes of Mark Lamarr, David Rodigan and Craig Charles.

Since then Resonators teamed up with London label Wah Wah 45s, releasing a number of 7" singles including Sweet Love Affair, Gold Getter and Surrender, receiving international radio play and widespread acclaim. 
Their second album, The Constant (released 5th November 2012 on vinyl, CD and download) fuses direct and healing messages about today's world with progressive roots-inspired dub and a deep soulful sound. The first single taken from the album, Surrender was described by David Rodigan MBE as 'British Reggae at its best.ʼ

The past few years have seen the band move audiences at legendary venues including Brixton Academy, Brighton Dome, KOKO, Jazz Cafe and festivals including Glastonbury, Reggae Sun Ska (France), Outlook (Croatia), Dour (Belgium)and Fusion (Germany). They have played support slots with a vast array of acts including Jimmy Cliff, Lee Perry, Fat Freddy's Drop, Horace Andy, Arrested Development and Black Uhuru to name a few.

Hailed as "Brighton's Lee Scratch Perry” (Rob Da Bank BBC Radio 1), longtime reggae-dub producer Richie Phoe has been releasing tracks since 2006 and was an early adopter with Balanced, releasing his first track in 2008.
Richie has collaborated and remixed many notable artists along the way including Max Sedgley, Jon Kennedy, Tippa Irie, Earl 16, Sola Rosa, Wah Wah 45s, Horseman, Solo Banton and others. He has received massive radio play from David Rodigan, Don Letts, Daddy G (Massive Attack), Huey Morgan, Nick Manasseh, Jon Jones, Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 2). He is an occasional guest on the Roots Garden Radio Show and has DJ'ed at festivals such as Bestival and Port Elliot, and regularly plays on the Roots Garden Sound System.
His debut full length, Echo Outernational (2012) stands out as a testament to modern reggae by combining digital, soulful and conscious styles into his signature productions. It features the acclaimed Eye on the Prize with Tippa Irie and Bumpy's Lament, which has seen multiple 7” re-issues and is approaching 3 million plays on Spotify. The track, Two Tree Island has since been featured on the Handmaid’s Tale TV series, and other tracks were paired with MTV's Dirty Sanchez show.
The 2020 release “Baby I Love You So”', covering legendary artist Jacob Miller, received huge acclaim as Daddy G of Massive Attack signalled "If you’re going to cover one of my favourite records, it better be fucking good. 'Baby I Love You So' is a stone cold classic, and this cover is bloody good, executed in fine style"

This Brighton based collective is formed of members from bands such as Resonators, Kalakuta Millionaires, King Porter Stomp, Los Albertos and Oscillator.

In 2012 this troupe of highly experienced musicians joined forces to compose original, Afrobeat influenced music.

In the Spring of 2013 we performed alongside Dele Sosimi, who was the keys player for Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
