One of the brightest lights of the roots-influenced underground community for the past half- decade, Poland born Mateusz Miller has pioneered a compelling and unique fusion of sounds that encompass dub, reggae and dubstep under his Radikal Guru moniker. Inspired by an appreciation of soundsystem culture, his music has become synonymous with suffocating degrees of dread bassweight, vibrant and eclectic palettes of tone, and varying energy levels that cater for both dancefloor focussed ruckus and for more meditative listening.

Heavily influenced by the likes of King Tubby and Scientist, Matt first gained worldwide acclaim and recognition through a string of killer 12” releases on leading reggae/dubstep imprint Dubbed Out, before forming a creative partnership with fellow label Moonshine Recordings where he has gone on to cement his reputation as one of the strongest proponents of the scene. His Moonshine discography boasts highlights that include his debut LP ‘The Rootstepa’ and the mighty ‘Dread Commandments’ 12”, and keep an eye out for some seriously exciting developments in the pipeline including the release of his second
album.

Not only an talented producer, Matt is also a fine selector, conveying his passion for music through DJ sets that pay homage to the sound and culture’s rich history as much as they showcase the freshest cuts of sonic innovation from himself and his contemporaries. He has hit spots all around the world to assault soundsystems with bass-fuelled beats and positive vibes, including recent gigs with vocal collaborator Cian Finn at the legendary Subdub and Tokyo Dub events, as well as trips as far afield as Moscow and South Africa.

Catch Matt bringing heat to a series of festivals this summer including Outlook and Boomtown, and with a landmark tour yet to be announced, there is plenty to look forward to on the horizon.

The "Spirituality" Lp is a concept album, especially for Djs. The LP starts at 112 Bpm and ends up at 120 Bpm (the bonus track).
I always produced two tunes in the same bpm and the same key. if you mix to the next bpm (the next two tunes), the tunes are going to be in a different key but still in the clock of keys.
That means either your mix is going to be faster or slower (if you start with the final tune) and the keys will always fit together - there wont be any key clash.

The "Spirituality" Lp includes many styles like House, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dub or Afrohouse. Moreover you hear the typicical Elements, which i also use for my Dubstepproductions under my aka Split such as massive subbass, jazzy samples or melos, percussive drums and so on.
I wanted to make something unconventional, use bpms which are not used very often and i definitly wanted to create an album, which is a dj set at the same time.

From now on, every week (as far as i have the time;)) im going to upload one tune, which you already can buy on my Bandcamp. If the complete LP is on my Bandcamp im going to make a special price offer.;)

People talk about religion? I prefer "Spirituality".;)


Die "Spirituality" LP ist ein Konzeptalbum, speziell für Djs. Die LP startet bei 112 Bpm und ended bei 120 Bpm (der Bonus Track).
Ich habe immer zwei Tunes in der gleichen Bpm und der gleichen Tonart produziert.
Wenn ihr zur nächsten Bpm Stufe (die nächsten 2 Tunes) mixt ändert sich die Tonart, ist aber immer noch im Quintenzirkel.
Das heißt entweder wird euer Mix schneller oder langsamer (wenn ihr mit dem letzten Tune startet) und die Tonarten werden immer zusammenpassen - Es wird keinen Konflikt der Tonarten geben.

Die "Spirituality" Lp beinhaltet viele Stile wie House, Hip Hop, Dub or Afrohouse. Darüber hinaus könnt ihr die typischen Elemente hören,

The two labels share a similar taste in music and have been working together in the past years on different levels: from parties to music exchange and cooperation between their artists, so it felt natural at this point to produce a common release on a format, USB stick, that is new for both of them.
Beside the 12 tracks the USB contains a thematic audio-visual project worked out by french artist Olivier who got the inspiration for this work from the “Mystery of the third planet” by Roman Kachanov, based on the children’s science fiction novella “Alice’s Travel” by Kir Bulychov, from Alisa Selezneva book series.
