Here to close out 2020 is t.y.jake with his second volume for the Kingsway Music Library, where he expands on his instrumentation and composition skills and steps out of the box even further. As a song craftsman, Jake is a perfectionist - smoothing out every corner and polishing each piece so that it shines from any angle you choose to see it.

Instrumentally, acoustic diversity rings strong - with pianos, horns, bells, voices, guitars, bass, strings and flutes weave and fuse together as Jake carves out his place as a producer by finding and extracting the magic buried within each track. Tempos sit mostly between 70-90bpm, with plenty of potential and space for creators to build from. A vision of what’s to come, it’s the perfect volume to end the year.

As the media and public attention begins to wane, Samples for Change is our contribution to try and keep the conversation moving around truly remedying the systemic racism and inequality rooted in our society. Progress has been made, but there is still much to be done. As outlined last month, Kingsway Music Library is committed to helping accelerate the emergence of a better and more equal future we can all be proud of. All proceeds from Samples for Change will be donated to organizations committed to racial equality and justice. We want to thank our contributing producers and loyal customers, who make things like this possible.

This week’s volume comes from producer UNKWN, who has created fifteen tracks of jazz, psych and soul-tinged lo-fi madness. A variety of acoustic and digital horns, pianos, flutes, analog synths, guitars, and vibes are peppered throughout and UNKWN keeps the mood vibrant and classic, setting the table for everyone to eat.

With credits ranging from Desiigner and Young Buck to Zedd and Diplo, he’s been slowly carving a name for himself between EDM and Hip Hop worlds. With these tracks he gets to flex his multi instrumental and melodic muscles and really establish his versatility. We hope you enjoy.

The Kingsway Music Library is a boutique sample library created and curated by Grammy-Award winning producer Frank Dukes. Initially a place for Dukes to release volumes of his own compositions that were then sampled by many producers and artists on many pinnacle songs of the last decade, it grew to include compositions and releases from many young up and coming producers such as CVRE, FORTHENIGHT, Mino, Louis Bell, Wallis Lane, Allen Ritter and others.
