Throwing Snow returns to Houndstooth for the anticipated album; LOMA.

Compiling all eight tracks from the four-part series, the package will be pressed to vinyl for the first time, accompanied with a brand new, 11-minute extended remix from Brooklyn-based Octo Octa (100% Silk/Running Back/Honey Soundsystem).

Opening with the held-back, break-neck stepper of 'Simmer', through to the jagged-edge, half time DnB bomb of 'Vulpine' and the lightly swung, garage-infused blows 'of 'Subtitles', this marks Ross Tones' (AKA Throwing Snow) most varied and proficient work to date on one of 2018's most essential imprints.

Released on 2xLP colour vinyl (yellow and green) - Cut and mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy, manufactured at optimal media, Germany.

History: 
After the Mosaic LP I followed it with Axioms EP, which followed the same release format/schedule and aimed more at the dance floor After releasing Embers LP I'm following that up with another collection of dance floor releases spread over 2018 and then collected into a very special vinyl release. 

Methodology: 
Axioms used the same rules to build all the tracks, hence the name. For this collection of tracks I'm using the same equipment and workflow throughout as a rule. The dance floor tracks but 'filtered' through different genre influences (hence the filters in the artwork) 

Trébucher: 
Is a simple repeated arpeggio line that constantly changes throughout. The drums stumble and fall over themselves hence the name Trébucher which is stumble in French (and a weapon) 

Tantrum: 
Is a moody weapon where the timing of the bass pulse morphs throughout creating different feelings. The drums utilise an amen at 125 which mirrors the stumbling feeling of Trébucher 

Simmer: 
This is the track I've always wanted to write. It combines many of my musical loves in one, it feels like jungle but at 125bpm. The main synth sound (the MFB Dominion Club) moves from a sub bass through to a 303 like acid work out and back again. 

Subtitles: 
The baseline is an ode to Teebee vs Future Prophecy's Dimensional Entity which came out on Subtitles, hence the name. I used a bowed lid sample recorded by Will Plowman to tie the two tracks together with the same ambience. 

Myriad and Minotaurs are both about morphing landscapes, one sweeping and subtle, the other brooding and sudden. 
Myriad features a cyclic synth line that constantly spirals downward before switching direction as it rises out of a valley. While on Minotaurs, jagged spikes sit over an ominous rolling sub before the sky opens up and the clouds clear.

Vulpine: 
Plays with jagged, interlocking rhythms at 85/170bpm yet references the aesthetic of the other EPs. 

V: 
Meanwhile flaunts with a morphing time signature routed in 5/4 over evolving arpeggios.

Russian producer Nocow returns to Rekids with an enthralling full-length album entitled ‘Atoner’ this November.

Real name Aleksei Nikitin, Nocow is known for his versatility, producing a large body of genre spanning work on labels like Clone Royal Oak, Figure, Fauxpas Musik, Gost Zvuk and Styrax. The St. Petersburg-based producer debuted on Rekids last year with his ‘Samaya Dolgaya Noch’ EP, a mellow release complete with vocal driven cuts as well as 2-step rhythms, and now returns with a myriad of productions in a fourteen track album entitled ‘Atoner’.

‘Atoner’ opens with an eponymous track that gently unravels with soaring synths and subtle percussion before Nocow’s voice emerges alongside twinkling atmospherics in ‘Complie’. Throughout the long player are also intricately produced short tracks sitting between the two and three-minute mark such as looping vocal number ‘Dancerecter’, the melodic and rattling ‘Leto’ and ominous ‘Delore’.

Ostanovitsa’ is a murky offering featuring a meandering organ riff, leading into the pitter-patter drums and serene chords of ‘Starveme (feat. Tayut Ogni)’. ‘Come Along’ is a crystalline and otherworldly experience from start to finish, whilst ‘Melting Lights’ is comprised of echoing, subterranean sounds, making way for reverberating snares and metallic stabs in ‘Standalone’.

Husky murmurs and soothing notes then make up ‘Neva’, moving into the syncopated beat and idyllic chord sequences in ‘Can’t Get Enough’ ahead of ‘Stonecold’ and its icy aesthetic. Finally, the album reaches a mesmerising conclusion with the spellbinding ‘Footer’.

KiNK has become one of house music’s most in demand producers and remixers: his tracks easily stand out in any club night and they are second to none in the most competitive environment electronic music has ever seen. His abilities in finding the ‘sweet spot’ of new machines and even of sounds considered ‘classic’ and to reshape them into totally different beasts would be totally enough to justify the phenomenon. Yet this barely touches the surface of the story.

Arguably the world of dance music has not witnessed anyone else rising so clearly from bottom to top just by the centrifugal force of sheer talent. Being based in Sofia, Bulgaria, without a support network, a campaign or any media hype, his music alone – live and in the studio – created a momentum whose end we have yet to see.

Having met Neville Watson over the internet, he first gained recognition with the duo’s collaborative releases on Amsterdam’s Rush Hour. “Inside Out” and “Full Flight” were huge records in 2008 already, but it was an unassuming video of KiNK tweaking a drum machine at home that landed him a gig at Berlin’s ever emblematic Panorama Bar. This also hints at what set him on a trail of live sets that took him to #1 on Resident Advisor’s poll in 2015. By today, he has played the world several times over.

Thus, KiNK’s live sets hold the key to understanding how he creates unparalleled enthusiasm on stage and through his studio output. By now, a guy with a laptop has become the most common sight in a club. Yet the visual discrepancy between the dynamics of sound and the statics of a mouse click has driven most ambitious live acts to sideshow tricks: visuals, LED screens, compensatory dancing – smoke and mirrors. By contrast, KiNK’s live sets simply take the hood off – strictly in terms of sound. A small set up of machines and controllers is all there is, but every knob turned produces an audible result. Often he will pass a machine to the audience and incorporate their input in real time. This happens at mind-boggling speed. Hyperactive, yet holding down grooves to kill for. KiNK’s ability to nail smash beats on the fly, well visibly and audibly, that most people couldn’t program in weeks of studio work – this ‘credibility of sound’ right where it matters is what sparks the love everywhere he visits.
