On the sub-label ‘Groovebox’ by Schimmer Records, the artist vīnculum presents his latest EP entitled ‘Having Fun’. This release is a fusion of dub techno and classic house that fits seamlessly into the niche culture of electronic music.

The tracks on ‘Having Fun’ are characterised by a masterful fusion of hypnotic dub elements and pulsating house beats. Vīnculum takes listeners on a sonic journey that ranges from subtle, evolving textures to energetic rhythmic adventures.

The EP ‘Having Fun’ presents an journey through emotion and musical diversity in the form of a five-track collection. The artist behind this release is Jacob, a talented musician originally from the US, now settled in Germany, whose sound is inspired by the Detroit scene.

Each track on ‘Having Fun’ is like a chapter in a captivating story that takes the listener through different moods and soundscapes. Overall, ‘Having Fun’ is not only an impressive musical work, but also a moving testament to Jacobs creative talent and emotional depth.

Laurent Garnier might have been doing his thing for about 30 years - a very good thing at that - but he's showing no signs of stepping back anytime soon. 

The French techno maestro spent last year touring Europe and North America, whether that be playing Coachella festival in California or the now-closed Trouw in Amsterdam, as well as finding time to release on Hypercolour, MCDE and Berlin-based 50 Weapons. 

His release on Hypercolour included Enchanté, a beaming, click-clacking techno cut that's about to be released again as part of his forthcoming album, 'Home', on F Communications.

We were deeply saddened by the events that occurred in Paris on Friday.  Our thoughts right now are with the people of Paris, a place that is so dear to our hearts.  Music can be an escape through these difficult times and that is why we decided to do this free giveaway with Sebastian Mullaert of his seminal Ovum release "Chant de Paris", a composition which was inspired by this great city.  In the words of Victor Hugo "Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."

Now is the time to chant for paris! and Ovum is doing so by sharing the track ”Chant de Paris” for free. 

The tragedy in Paris last friday is a tragedy for everyone. Why this happened is beyond my understanding but I know that all of us and how we live has an effect on how the world looks today. We all share the responsibility for the pain and the happiness in the world; today probably more than ever before in the history of human kind. A common phrase by people in Sweden who don’t want more refuges in Sweden is; ”let them deal with their problems in their own country, we can help them there but why should they come here?”. When I hear that I like to answer; ”who grow your food?, who sewed your jeans?, where does the gasoline in your car come from?, who made your smartphone?" and so on! 

But what can I do in Sweden to help the pain in Paris or Syria??? (or anywhere else where these tragedies is part of daily life). 
I really feel that there is only one place where the change can take place, and that place is always with you … it is you, it is consciousness. I tell myself to stay open, whatever comes up in my awareness, both on a mental, emotional and physical dimension. Stay here! Watch what is happening, watch what’s ”coming up” or ”passing by” … may it be emotions, thoughts, visions, physical manifistations or anything else. Some things are pleasant to watch and some things are terribly hard to watch … but stay, stay here, stay open! give your space and your consciousness to See and Heal, heal You and everyone else. And when the moment comes for you to act, act from this place, act from the place of understanding, compassion and love and I believe that your actions will be part of the change for a better world. 

I’m writing this mainly to myself, and I believe it’s important to remind myself about this but don’t take it wrong … I really don’t know anything and don’t listen to me if it doesn’t resonate with you.
