Guydee - Whats Up With Dat (Original Mix)

Like Soichi Terada, a growing appetite for Japanese house has presented @takecha the chance to reach a new audience. Following in the footsteps of his compatriot, he also links up with London label Hhatri, offering up four original cuts that imbued with a distinctly North American flavour. You can hear it on 'Sax', a playful number from '95 that happens to be the only previously unreleased track on the 12". The swinging groove is reminiscent of Glenn Underground, while the alluring blend of stabby chords and sultry saxophone isn't too dissimilar from the output of Pal Joey, another source of inspiration for the Shiga-based producer.

Etur Usheo is back on Feedasoul Records with his latest work, 'groovedown'. This two-track EP is jam-packed with Soul and Funk. As the name suggests, 'Down in the Groove' presents a solid bassline inspired from Funk that overlaps a classic House 4/4 rhythm. 'Hip Shaking' on the other hand, introduces percussion elements in addition to the horn section and the soulful vocal samples that add up to a groover.
