This verse summarizes Violetta’s path to playing music. Surrounded by talented musicians, DJ’s and performers from early adulthood, Violetta was always fascinated by a human’s ability to inspire and move the senses of oneself, as well as others, through musical creation… whatever the genre or instrument. Having pursued a career in law, which she still practices and loves, the creative muse finally unlocked the door that was always meant to open. Motivated by many musical experiences where Violetta was a participant, an observer, or a curator, combined with inspiration from her family and collective at Pynk, the natural progression was to embrace DJing herself. Violetta gravitates toward deeper beats, intertwined with instrumentals, soft vocals, and sounds from different cultures.

Kino Podcast #008 - Temo Sayin

Today is a special day. I can finally share a new set with you all: Old City Stories - Rue De Moi-Même
. 
It has been long overdue since I released a set and it’s mainly due to a lot of changes taking place in the background, as well as a lot of exploration of what kind of sounds truly resonate with me. I found a disconnect between what I was enjoying playing live and what I had released in the past on Soundcloud. I believe the journey as an artist is to continuously evolve and shape your identity by your own experiences and people you meet along the way - to reflect and express. Rue de Moi-Même is that road within you that has all those answers, but often we are distracted by what we want to believe and cannot see beyond the noise and distractions. I think this past year, more than anything, I have tried to find that road and follow that path that has many unknowns, but feels instinctively right.

With that said :) I hope you enjoy this set and the story it portrays. It is especially heartwarming to release a set knowing that it channels so many artists that I am grateful to have met or interacted with over the past year so thank you for the constant inspiration <3

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Podcast Series!

We are kicking off 2021 with an old friend of ours: Valeron

Generally recognized as the top DJ on the island of Mykonos, Valeron is definitely one of the longest standing and most omnipresent figures of the ever-shifting local music scene.

Soon after relocating to Mykonos, he became a producer releasing tracks that helped register his name in the Deep House and Electronic genre. This carried him through to becoming a founder of the Bercana Music label and releasing 2 personal albums already “Amare” & ‘’Aigaio’’. Valeron’s albums introduce a unique combination of traditional Greek instruments and Electronic beats.

Every Saturday at Scorpios Mykonos Valeron leads ‘’Scorpios World’’ where he performs live alongside Greek musicians of instruments such as the clarinet, violin, Ney,Bouzouki, Saz, Oud,Santur and many more. With lots of originals and remixes that had climb on top of Beatport charts, on May 2019 he will release his third personal album.
