“Gateway” is the 3rd Studio release for Arcturus, following his latest release “Ineffable”. Gateway is a story and an opening to a portal of a journey that is continuing following the journey of “Templates”, the first of Arcturus’s releases. The image represents an offering being made to the higher councils of light, of a frequency key, that holds knowledge and information from the people of earth. This delivering of the frequency key allows for the flow of information between the dimensions of reality, and provided a key for communication between worlds.

« Sabir » is the new EP of Kino Doscun, in collaboration with the instrumentalist and composer Youthie on flute, trumpet and accordion.

This album is based on improvisations with Middle Eastern Dub/Fusion grooves, establishing a dialogue between two musical approaches, programmed electronic music, and instrumental improvisation.

The name "Sabir" came from here, it originally means a basic language created in the Mediterranean, by people from different countries to communicate.

Mafia Matou - Money Money

"When I was almost done with college, myself and two friends somehow conned the university into supporting our performance of a live score to Alejandro Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain. I'm not sure what we were thinking, or how we pulled any of it off, but I've wanted to do something like it again ever since. Me and the band talked about it a bit and decided The Birds would be an interesting fit; a surprisingly experimental film that people still know really well. We thought it would be challenging and accessible all at the same time, if we did it justice.  Because the film has no conventional soundtrack, we realized we could easily use the audio as a kind of field recording and sample and manipulate it live while we are improvising.  We don't know what is going to happen but we know that it will happen. 

To mark this audio-visual experiment I've put together a mix of my favorite music from various films; music that really speaks to me.  In some cases these are my favorite composers or performers, in some cases my favorite films, but they are all deeply influential and important to me.  As the great master of suspense once said, ideas come from everything."

Iceberg – a large floating mass of ice detached from a glacier or ice sheet and carried out to sea. 'Iceberg' is also the title of Alex Cowles’ (formerly DFRNT) beautiful new album – debut for his new moniker Stillhead. With two labels under his rule, 4 albums and 20 EPs under 5 different aliases, countless radio shows and blog posts, Alex has now arrived at this point with Iceberg to be released at the end of this month via Here & Now Recordings.

Tip of the iceberg – the first hint or revelation of something larger or more complex. “Knife Edge” – the second track from the album, that we are streaming exclusively via our site is just the tip of the Iceberg, the melodic and slightly nostalgic entryway to the 12-track-deep body of work influenced by Nordic landscapes, Scandinavian electronic music like Trentemøller and Lulu Rouge as well as dub-techno, dnb and bass music from all over the world.

Erased Tapes label mates Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm record and mix their first collaborative record between Reyjkjavík and Berlin as a surprise release for label founder Robert Raths.

The ambient/electronic work ‘Stare’ is a true family effort from Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm with Anne Müller joining in on cello and all graphics by close label-friend and now in-house designer Torsten Posselt of Feld Studios.
