For the second part of no. 39, Kiosk ID delivers four distinct reinterpretations of Katy and Hybrid Catalysis: Julian Koerndl, Motip White, ĀEMYGDALA, and Johannes Klingebiel follow up Naethan’s emotionally rich electro-acoustic palette, projecting it into new, dancefloor-driven dimensions.   

Julian Koerndl strips Katy to its bare percussive essence, conjuring troves of relentless staccato energy. Barrages of squelching 16th-note basslines collide with malfunctioning samplers and glitched-out beeps and blips in a choppy reduction to undiluted dancefloor power—tight, tough, and unapologetically physical.   

Motip White transforms Katy into an anthemic technoid vision, anchoring its trippy and emotional core in a searing percussive framework of reverberating rides and shakers. Beautifully building on the original’s laser-sharp sound design and resonant, notched leads, Motip White expands on Katy’s hypnotic depths while keeping things raw, left-field, and captivating.   

ĀEMYGDALA transform Hybrid Catalysis into a blazingly bright House journey with subtle tribal undercurrents. Potentiating the original’s dubby warmth and weightlessness, their version gently arcs ecstatic sawtooth strings and radiant chords across a compact and infectiously groovy percussive core—an incandescent four-to-the-floor journey for late nights and early mornings.   

Johannes Klingebiel offers a techier rework still, leading Hybrid Catalysis into a groove-driven world of syncopated percussion, ricocheting vocal chops, and shimmering horns. Balancing drum-centric energy with a cloud of luminous synths and delicate electric horns, his version feels both physically grounded and blissfully translucent.

MiZi MuZiK no. 4 delivers a coolly ecstatic, groove-driven collaboration between Madrid’s Landikhan and Berlin-based icon Mira, with a hypnotic interpretation by Ed Ed. Equal parts rhythm-centric shmasher and chord-heavy reminiscence, ‘I’m Still Here’ draws on a rich sonic spectrum to deliver a period EP filled with beautifully arcing warehouse euphoria and playful Funk.

The title track ‘I’m Still Here’ is a vibrant fusion of classic chord ecstasy, warehouse-ready energy arcs, and throbbing Dembow undercurrents. Set against a sonorous kick and booming tomtom groove, Mira and Landikhan marry cool, funky dancefloor elegance with cycling patterns of escalating chord chops. ‘We Drop the Ball’ pivots the mood to heavyweight—and beautifully impromptu—Funk. Ed Ed recasts ‘We Drop the Ball’ as a deep, immersive dancefloor seance with a sub-heavy core. Draping his rendition in ghostly vapour, Ed Ed transforms the original’s galvanic chords into a haze of swirling atmospheres broken by flashing flickers of transient, heavily effected synths. Dark, sensual, and powerfully hypnotic, Ed Ed dips the original into a vast pool of slow-burning bliss.

Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.


A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

Following his beatific downtempo debut Cosmos on Kiosk ID, Spanish producer DPAZ returns with ‘Manifest’—an interstellar voyage that accelerates his cosmic signature into higher realms of tempo and intensity. Across five razor-sharp cuts, Manifest charts a high-energy journey through spaced-out synth work, stripped drum structures, and strobing, atmospheric nebulae. 

Opening track ‘Clarity’ delivers an urgent, brooding transmission shrouded in darkly oscillating saws. Deconstructed sound fragments arc across a stripped beat, as DPAZ unfolds a shadowy cosmos of menacing staccato synth work that consumes the dancefloor in grayscale flashes. 

‘Experience’ brightens the atmosphere while sharpening DPAZ’s focus on sonic detail. Fluttering drums, delicate pads, and cinematic keys are weightlessly suspended, blending sci-fi sound design with emotional nuance. Angelic stabs shimmer through mangled feedback like warped transmissions—soothing yet alien, and intimately moving.

Tactile and rich in feeling, Humanize beautifully balances raw energy with emotional depth. 

The title cut, ‘Manifest,’ threads the needle between dubby atmospheres and sub-heavy propulsion. Playful chirps and brilliantly bright synths revolve around a deep, throbbing core, conjuring a ghostly, jazz-inflected trip. Ethereal yet grounded, Manifest radiates DPAZ’s singular, spectral charm. 

Closing track ‘Twelve Dimensions’ pairs an acid-laced lead with a punchy rhythm section. Blippy arpeggios anchor the momentum as chord shifts open up worlds of melodic intensity. 

With Manifest, DPAZ transcends his downtempo roots, stepping confidently into a celestial synthesis of synth-crazed, drum-driven psychedelia. The result is a sci-fi club odyssey across five distinct interstellar fragments—bleeding-edge, anthemic, and laser-focused on the floor.
