You know the saying. The cream rises to the top? There are some key members of the Dj and collector community that get recognized more and more as time goes on. Not only for their knowledge about electronic music and their taste in tunes but also their no-frills attitude and focus on DJing as a whole. Estimulo is one of those handful. A former member of the futura event agency and DJ crew from Berlin with a desire to also release music as a label owner with Mixomat Recordings. Heavily passionate about radio since a being young child has led to many variations of shows dedicated to the music he supports and follows. Most recently, a weekly Radio Show (EstimuloShow @ mixomat.org since 2007, also on Cashmere Radio since 2017) kept him busy. Having played many key clubs throughout Europe while sharing the nightly bills with a who's who's list of some of the best underground names in house and techno isn't a surprise. As a DJ, Estimulo is more in tune with the deeper and soulful side of things. He approaches mixing uniquely with no pre-planned mixes favoring an expression of honesty and desire to play what he wants versus a goal of perfect but often stale mixing. Lately, he has taken to many streaming platforms DJing live with other hardcore music aficionados in marathon long mixing sessions. To say Estimulo contributes to every facet of the electronic music community would be an understatement. Search out some recent interviews with him to get more in depth with his extensive background and future plans. With some 30 years' worth of experience, knee deep into the sound of the underground, you can expect his selections to impress even the die-hards. The 23rd SpillCast comes from the music mogul Scott Braithwaite.

Scott has been involved in the electronic music scene since the very beginning, as a DJ and then as a label boss. Fragmented Records was responsible for releasing some of the most forward-thinking music of the 90s era from the likes of Morgan Geist, Dan Curtin & Jaime Read. Scott also released his own productions in collaboration with Craig Walsh - these productions featured on other labels too under the monikers of The Cause and 3rd Alternative.

As Scott is an experienced and well-travelled DJ with an encyclopaedic knowledge of techno, house and electro, this mix does exactly what it says on the tin. Expect a whopping 2.5 hours of carefully crafted electronic music from a true master of his craft.

DC Salas is a Belgian DJ/producer hailing from Brussels. Active on the Belgian and European nightlife for 14 years now, as a DJ, DC crafted his sound into something pretty diverse: house, new beat, 90’s wrong speeder or percussive beats, no boundaries. As a producer he released music on labels such as: Correspondant, River Rapid, TAU, B-Pitch Control, Kill The DJ and his own imprint Biologic Records.

Zephyr hails from France but currently calls Antwerp home where he is known for his multifaceted role as a promoter, manager and resident at Ampere, and founder of Mystic Rhythmz. His sets are a testament to his profound knowledge and connection to electronic music, weaving through frequencies, rhythms and sounds that keep the dance floor pulsating. Context is everything, and his ability and intuitive sense of context allows him to adapt seamlessly to any given situation, each time delivering a rich musical story.

After growing up on a steady diet of everything from Indian and western classical music, through to disco, hip hop, reggae, 1980s electronic pop and even heavy metal, Rajesh Deshpande first became involved with electronic dance music in the late 1990s. Initially gravitating towards the intense rhythms and chest-pounding basslines of jungle and drum and bass, his first forays into music production were made alongside his brother. Releasing and touring under the Vice Versa' moniker and thanks to the support from local Sydney DJs and underground radio stations, the duo managed to catch the attention of legendary drum and bass figures LTJ Bukem and Conrad. This led to a string of high profile releases on Bukem's seminal label 'Good Looking Records' (amongst others), as well as residencies in most of Sydney's major dance music venues. After a hiatus, Rajesh has rediscovered his love for music production and DJing in recent years. Always open-minded and keen to explore new territory, he found a new muse and appreciation for the moods and grooves of house music. The resulting 'Miraj (AU)' project has been met with solid support from taste-making underground artists and DJs within Australia and across the world. With releases on several labels including Melbourne's very own Valiant Records, Celestial Recordings (UK), EmbarrassedArts (UK) and Expmental (France) as well as regular appearances on playlists from the likes of Dilby (Poker Flat, 8bit, Crosstown Rebels), Graziano Raffa (Sudbeat), Marsh (Anjunadeep), Robyn Balliet, Gorge, and Steve Kelley, Rajesh continues to forge ahead with his own interpretation of the deep house genre.
