Ms. Garvie is a regular substitute organist in the Greater Boston Area, playing services at First Church of Christ Scientist in Providence, Rhode Island, Marsh Chapel at Boston University, and First Church Cambridge. She recently accepted the position of Organ Intern at First Church Cambridge. This summer, Ms. Garvie was a scholarship recipient at the 2017 McGill Summer Organ Academy, studying with Hans-Ola Ericsson and Kaitlyn Emerson, among others. She has also performed in masterclasses with Stefan Kießling, assistant organist at St. Thomaskirche Leipzig. She was an E. Power Biggs Fellow at the most recent Organ Historical Society convention in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, where she attended masterclasses with John Fergusson and Nathan Laube. She continually seeks to bring interesting and historically informed performances to church congregations and concert audiences alike, and has performed throughout the Northeast and Montreal.
