KIRA’S BIOGRAPHY
BORN 6 August (Jamaican Independence) 1983 christened KIRA BERNARD. His father was a part-time SOUL DJ and his mother a Dancer.  

I am informed that some of his greatest musical influences in his early years were artist such as “KRS 1”, the great “Biggie Smalls” “Jaheim”, “Jagged Edge”, “Boys to Men” and “Donell Jones”, in fact he was given 6 tickets by his father for his 15th Birthday present for him and his friends to go to a Jaheim concert, further by the time he was 15 years of age he had been to several live concerts such as “Maze, R-Kelley, KRS-1” amongst others (these artist clearly shape his music career), because KIRA Raps & Sings. 
By the time he was age 17 he was performing under the name of Kristal k at LIVE SHOWS in AIYA-NAPA in Cyprus, doing House-and Garage/grime Rapping in front of hundreds/thousands of followers, and by this stage of his career he made a conscious decision that music is what he wanted to do. Kira aka kristal k was making a name for himself on the pirate radio scene (freeze fm) where he was doing 2 hour sets with his crew called HEAVINESS SQUAD.  They were doing sets with other crew and artists such as NASTY CREW, BASHY, MUSICAL MOB and many more.  It was not long after this that an independent record company known as FROFAR RECORDS approached him to record some tracks for them. His pops recalls that the owner of the record company was very surprised how fast KIRA could write a song once you played him the backing track. 
Since being with the independent record label his music career has moved on leaps and bounds, it is estimated that at the very least there are over 50,000 FROFAR RECORD EP’S on the street (including Miami and L.A) containing some of KIRA’S songs (FROFAR record say they love KIRA’S voice in America). KIRA is hoping that a major record company will eventually show an interest.

His first record released was “AFRAID OF LOVE”, and it was played on KISS FM in London, England, there was a lot of interest in his song “I LOVE DA SUNSHINE” with  “DREYCE”, it’s made for the summer and KIRA wishes to personally thank “DJ STYLES “from UJIMA radio-Bristol-UK for the work they have done on helping to promote the song “respect”. “love da sunshine” was chosen to represent Bristol carnival 2011 by BBC radio.  2012 has been yet another busy year for KIRA, so far he has been touring up and down the country performing with various artist.  His most recent tour is the BIG ON ROAD TOUR which is set to be the platform for many artist in the uk to showcase their talent.  The tour started in Scotland and will end in London and is currently a huge success. 

Finally FOR ALL KIRA’S fans, Kira is currently recording an EP and hopes to release this summer.  Producer Emil Proffit is set to be the man behind the buttons but you can expect a few other producers and artist on  the EP  such as Stevey J, Tremz, Mad hat Magore, Jimmy Snooks plus more.

Born in West London in the 80’s Scratchie J made his radio debut on the pirate radio airwaves playing to London town on some of London’s leading pirate radio stations such as Flex FM and Freeze FM, where he fronted one of the most popular shows the “Messy Brekkie” breakfast show.

Hailing from pirate radio royalty, Scratchie J has played at events with some of the biggest names from the UK and US scene including Dizzie Rascal, Wayne Wonder, Wiley, Neyo and Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk to name a few.

Not one to spend all his time locked up in a studio, over his 20 year career Scratchie J has played up and down the country at big name events such as Garage and RnB Nation, Eskimo Dance and Garage Fever.

One massive focus for Scratchie J is that he is  always looking to support the UK scene and has taken an active role in promoting local events and talent as well as bringing artists such as Donaeo, Meleka, Omar and Maxwell D to perform locally.

Recently Scratchie J has been heating up the online airwaves and hosting shows on various internet stations keeping the music coming on strong. His fresh and unique DJ style means he likes to bring something new and unexpected to his listeners. Staying true to his pirate radio roots you will always find the latest RnB & UK Funky House tracks in his bag as well as some Hip Hop, Jungle and Club Classics all topped of with a mass amount of Bashment.
