„Odsbodkins!“ schallt es aus Oles Mund, als er Martins neue schmalzige Haarpracht erblickt. Die beiden hatten sich die letzten 5 Jahre eingeschlossen, um an ihrer neuen Platte zu arbeiten und das Ergebnis ist die Monaberry mit der Katalognummer 23. 23? Das kann nur ein gutes Zeichen sein!

 Odsbdodkins macht seinem Namen alle Ehre und greift ohne zu fragen die Tanzmuskeln an. Ein grooviges Gitarrenfeuerwerk wird entfacht und erleuchtet die dunklen Tanztempel. Keine Geringeren als Hanne & Lore haben sich dieses Baby zur Brust genommen, um daraus einen Track zum gepflegten Ausrasten zu zaubern. Mit von der Käsehäppchen-Partie sind Frdy und Indimushy. Diese beiden Stücke setzen sich tief im Kleinhirn fest und verlassen dieses nicht so schnell. Frdy bestreitet eher den tooligen Weg der straighten Musikliebhaber und lässt dabei keine Wünsche offen. Um die Platte aber nicht Abdriften zu lassen, fasst sich Indimushy ein Herz und schiebt gewohnt gefühlvoll die Körper zurück auf die Tanzflächen.

We are excited to welcome Martin Waslewski back on Hommage, this time with partner in crime Ole Biege. Both present a lush pair of tracks that will help you make a smooth transition into autumn and the darker days.

Starting off with the EPs title track “Fiddler”, a laid back & chilled tune. Built around a sleek groove and authentic analog drum programming, the tracks main focus lies on the echoed male vocals. The sounds and instruments both chose, make Fiddler a standout and track that will become an ear worm instantly. 

Moving onward with “Fleecy Shout”, which has a similar, slightly weirder vibe to it and features a very funk driven groove. It’s all about piano chords bouncing around and trippy male vocals providing the fun. The subby bassline provides the coolness underneath. 

Monkey Safari are closing off the record with their interpretation of Fiddler. They change up the groove and place witty sample layers here and there. To spice things up both also add a touch of acid.

Leeds resident and one of the team behind Re:tweak Records, Howard Sessions debuts on Lost My Dog Records after pricking up the label’s ears with previous outings on Kolour, 3am and his own imprint. Obviously having a track named ‘Barking’ also helped seal the deal!

2 versions by Howard of ‘Meddlin’ With Me Melody’ are accompanied by a remix from Larry Fives, best known as one half of UK house legends Inland Knights. Upcoming producer Jesus Pablo has also impressed of late and is drafted in to remix ‘Barking’.

This is the first of three Lost My Dog releases that Howard is currently involved with – he will also release ‘Looking Back’ in collaboration with KT Forrester and Mike Richardson and a remix of ‘One Love’ by Tom Taylor and Gareth Whitehead in the remainder of the year.
