Growing up in legendary West Philadelphia, Birthed from musical divinity, Amir Ali was born to share his gift. Influenced by the many genres of music played in his household growing up, Ali has “been in love with hip hop & music since I was a little boy,” he confessed. He then carried that same love into adulthood. Transcribing his perspective into words, Ali gives listeners a bird’s eye view of his life’s happenings. Through his ups & downs and losing childhood friends to the streets, Ali uses his words to share the pain and passion within, painting vivid images. One of his biggest goals is to solidify his signature style. Carefully crafting beats with his trusted friend and engineer (Jay Saif) is of the utmost importance. Ali views Hip-Hop as an art that needs to be protected, while at the same time pushed beyond its limits. His versatile style as a slick-talk lyricist, who uses street-savvy & intelligence to capture the listener; all while still caring about making timeless music, qualifies him as the perfect candidate.

Started Djing 1996. My First gig was Junior high @ bake sale. Fell in love then , Rest was history .. Never Brag or say im the best . What u put in is what u get .worked for Earl Contaste @ ETHIOPIAN TASTE RECORD SHOP, doing spread sheet database at the age of 15.   Attend Franklin K Lane high school in 1997. build my first sound and named it shockwave . eventually changed it to StarWave, another story itself . 2005 Steadyrock was BUild.  was put aside for a year to Assist SuperStrong in there JOurney in Dancehall..  After learning the industry from the likes of Steelie Bashment, Fadda Strong ,Puma ,My Hecklers Family and others I decided in 2007 to pick up my Sound.... Sound Been Running Since !
