Thim, also known as Lex Lilt was born in Stockholm. Lex didn't come from a music oriented family, but his interest for music was shown at an early age. 

Beginning with guitar lessons as a kid, he discovered the talents he had for improvisation and song writing. At the time, Lex was interested in a lot of Rock music and Hip Hop until he discovered electronic music. Eventually, his musical taste fell more and more into the electronic genres such as Hardstyle, Drum & Bass, Trance, and Progressive House.

His friend introduced him to DAW demos which allowed Lex to compose his own music. While much of the productions at the time was very unserious, it set the starting point for his dreams. 

Lex compositions were foremost based on Trance and Hands-Up but later on transformed into more rhythmical sounds.

While music got more and more serious for Lex in the following years to come, his dreams stayed intact and most of his spare time was spent by composing music. Eventually, he started getting some recognition across the globe and was booked for a few gigs which set a starting point for Lex career. 

In 2017 Lex started Fervence Records with Steven Fine, a friend he met through Twitter and shared many common interests. Fervence Records set its footprint in the industry by kicking off with releases that fell in their taste, rather than releases that match up with the mainstream.
