Apparel Music pushes forward with a four track single from label-founder Kisk. The Italian producer teams up with some associates of the imprint on a couple of the featured cuts, while Anton Kubikov reworks the title track to shape up the 'Friends' EP. Title track 'Friends' opens the single, seeing Kisk delve deep with a dusty Jazz-tinged deep house workout. Gritty drum samples, a double bass hook and a blend of cosseting Rhodes and murmuring vocal lines lay the foundations, while emotive string melodies add a further beauty to things creating a classy, understated piece to kick things off. Kisk then teams up with Undeep aka Gennaro Mastrantonio for '4Friends' following in the same ilk the duo drive the record with sweeping pads, bumpy raw rhythms and bubbling background atmospherics to again create a slow-blooming elegant record. On the latter half of the release Kisk pairs up with Portugese producer Accatone, this time taking the feel in a more upfront and direct direction as weighty sub tones fuel the tracks energy and ethereal pads, subtly processed piano hits and spoken word vocal lines drive the musicality. Then finally to close the EP Moscow based producer, notably known for his work with the likes of Kompakt and Trapez turns in a stunning melodic interpretation of 'Friends', skillfully composing dazzling piano hooks alongside heavenly pads, berloque percussion and a hefty amount of sub.

Portuguese deep vibes guru Jose Reis aka <b>Accatone</b> joins forces with Italian DJ and producer Giuseppe D’Alessandro aka <b>Kisk</b> on Piston’s first release of 2014, ‘Back In Time’. Jose remains busy as ever with remix duties and original works, his latest release came via Hudd Traxx, “A Reason Not To Try” with a awesome Matthew Herbert remix . Guiseppe is making his Piston debut while he runs his own label Apparel Music which is based in the UK. He has seen a very impressive release list across many labels and his style varies with lots of diversity.

Accatone’s mix of ‘Back In Time’ delivers a solid deep house groove with cool chords and a sublime grooving bassline. The intro boasts a nice warm kick with a raspy vocal which leads into a flowing rhythm as the subtle percussions take hold. The bassline and the vocals are the main focus as the track delves deeper in the house sound. An excellent cut that will no doubt grace many a set!.

Kisk’s mix dishes out a deeper house cut with a superbly subtle intro of just low end kicks and an earthy type pad. This leads to a short break where percussions come into play on top of a cool female vocal. The track soon gets going in full on house mode as a groovy bassline takes charge. As the main break approaches the percussions ramp up a notch weaving smooth rhythms while that bass does its thing, stunning slice of deep house goodness!

Jazzy Caravan is a grand peice of work that is looking to outline the silhouette of Apparel Music Classic's soul. The jazz follows us to the sweet memories of unforgettable melodies that are interpreted by artists par excellance for a special event. Every producer represents one scene, unique and unmistakable. Jazz samples (where Oneboy project has groomed well the classical instruments - the trumpet, the piano and the double-bass) were given to every artist. 
Prostitune: is a modest swedish guy that marvels us with simplicity. Seems like going back in time with a next generation's vehicle. It's really a perfect start. George G uses imagination and transmits the motiv with a simple hint in the center of disc, as if the jazz transforms itself in poetry or a drumroll. Ekkohouse gives us an example of class and wonder: Caravan hides behind a research of sounds that fill up the space and wrap arround us until swallowing us.mm. Elon amazes us with an amazing 'divide and assemble, cut and stitch' technique, quoting the swing and flamenco without ever loosing the actual rhythm. Tucillo brings us to house with an up to date and sophisticated march. Kisk gives us an example of salsa with a good structured instumental version. Ali Kuru brings us back to present tense and rides the housy wave. Really impeccable. The last but not least, Domu, an artist far away from a steady sound, definitely a different school, couldn't be missed out for the jazzy lovers.
