Born on the South Side of Chicago in Washington Heights on April 6, 1999, KENNY.’s early years were shaped by the rhythm of the city and the warmth of family—splitting time between his home and his grandparents’ house in Chatham, which became a second home.

At age 6, he moved to South Shore and attended Robert A. Black Magnet School, where he excelled academically. But as the city became more dangerous, his family relocated to Las Vegas when he was 8, seeking a safer environment. That same year, he discovered his passion for lyricism while studying Kanye West’s Graduation, memorizing lyrics to understand flow and breath control. This sparked a lifelong dedication to writing and perfecting his craft.

From ages 8 to 15, KENNY. quietly honed his skills before releasing his first track at 16 under the name "Ayce" (A Young Consistent Entertainer). At 18, he adopted the name "Kit Kitai," meaning "Supplying Hope," reflecting his mission to create relatable, meaningful music. Today, he embraces his identity fully, dropping all stage names to go simply by KENNY.
