Dxtroit Red, born Jay-Christy Powell is a American song writer, record producer, journalist, and recording artist from Detroit Michigan USA. He first gained major exposure in the music industry with his verse on Lil Wayne's Dedication 2 mixtape hosted by DJ Drama on the song "Cannon Remix". He and his long time friend and collaborator, DJ Don Cannon, went on to produce for some of the most successful artists in the entertainment industry. His credits include 50 Cent, from the Stars show Power, on his multi-platinum 2007 Curtis LP. He has also worked with Paul Wall, TI, Slim Thug, Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy, Smoke Dza, Bizarre Of D12, Willie The Kid, Slum Village, John Michael and countless others.
