Grip

Nostalgia trip. KitFai was started in 2013 when five friends decided to make music in the same way as the music they grew up with. With inspiration from bands such as Mew, Paramore, Further Seems Forever and Matchbook Romance, it’s not hard to see that KitFai maybe wished they were a hit in 2004.

Perhaps you’re thinking that’s a bad thing? On the contrary! Studies show that the warm, nostalgic feeling you get when you reminisce about happy times is stronger and more positive than the actual feeling you had in the first place. If you think that the record you loved when you were seventeen changed your life, then just listen to KitFai, and maybe you could save some money on both therapy and stimulants.

KitFai has previously released an EP called “Grip” that received good feedback, and several of the songs, including the standalone singles “Down” and “In Every Way”, were played on the Norwegian radio channel P3, through the “Urørt” program. “Down” was also used in the Norwegian TV-series called “Unge Lovende”.

It’s onstage that KitFai are at their happiest. They have since day one had their focus on playing live, and have since 2013 played across large parts of Norway. Festivals such as Pstereo, Slottsfjell, OverOslo, Skjærvafest and by:Larm, and support for Deaf Havana, among others.

The band members are known from bands such as Leprous, Shevils, Over the Trees and Psyence Fiction.

KitFai spent parts of 2017 in the studio recording their debut album, which will be out and available during 2018.
