Blyde Lasses (‘glad girls’ in Shetland dialect) have been captivating audiences across the world since they first started performing together in 2006. Their performances are as rich in stories as they are in music, and their music and songs give an intriguing glimpse into Shetland’s aert-kent musical tradition. Over the past few years Blyde Lasses have toured in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, Norway, Estonia and the UAE. In April 2013, after countless requests for recordings, they released their acclaimed debut album of traditional, contemporary and self-penned Shetland songs and tunes.

A curious fiddler, Johanna-Adele Jüssi, who with openness has travelled and played, studied and taught is a contemporary tradition carrier from Estonia. Her expression is both elegant and raw, storytelling and spellbinding.
 
She is an active musician most often playing with her duo with Jo Einar Jansen and her own named band, occasionally performing with Les Filles Du Nord.
 
In October 2012 Johanna-Adele gave out her debut solo cd "Kiilid" (GO0812) which was very well received by numerous critics. "Her sensitive and equilibristic fiddle playing makes me already now without hesitation name her to the fiddler of the year." (Lira Musikmagasin, Bengt Edqvist)
 
Johanna-Adele has a Master in Nordic Folk Music, having studied traditional music in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Before that she studied Estonian traditional music at Viljandi Culture Academy. 

On May 14, 2014, Duo Jansen/Jüssi released their album "Mängleik".
