THA NXXT STEP also known as J.T.R.A.(Justin Theodore Robert Archer) Born in 1986 in Yakosuke, Japan, his tastes of music and culture vary greatly.

A multi-talented artist with varied fields of interest. His music career started off in 2005 when he joined the heavy metal group The Crashing Falcon as their bassist. During the years since, he has filled positions in jazz, funk, country, blues, and rock bands. Because of his history of producing, which he started at the age of 16, he now ventures back into the electronic world. 

After a long two years of holding down the mic for a varied assortment of headliners, JTRA has finally worked his way to being the one behind the decks. Brandishing his style of experimental production mixed with his love for 808 bass, he brings a different flavor of sound.

After dabbling around in different sounds, as well as different social groups, artistic loves, and nerdy obssessions, JTRA realized the symbology of water in co-respondance to life and reality. In addition with his love for the production styles of artists like Eskmo, 
Amon Tobin, RP Boo, Africa HiTech, Heavee, JLin, and Aquadrop, this ideal became applied to his sound and persona.

After years of experimentation, education, and procrastination, he's emerged from a flower bud, blossoming a new form, like a butterfly taking flight. The only choice that made sense in this new form was to be dubbed Tha Nxxt Step. Flexibility, tangibility, and sensuality is the new focus on this. Travelers and ramblers are all welcome on this journey.

JL/JB produced countless events under Energy Productions in Atlanta from '96 to '02 including a Moonshine Over America Tour in '99 at the Tabernacle. Being a promoter/producer in Atlanta during that time he earned his rightful place working with Moonshine Music. He held a residency at Fusion nightclub in Wilmington, NC for 4 years while owning 2 record stores Newwax Records and Heavy Rotation. He also held another residency at Halo Lounge back in Atlanta, GA for 4 years. He specialized in all kinds of House and Breakbeats. He loved to spin it all including Dubstep, DnB, Techno and even Trance. With his nonstop electrifying performances and intense Energy JL would hype up the entire audience and he was definitely unforgettable! Studying DJ's and their music for over 30 years he has what it takes to move the dance floor and the world! Live for music cause music is life...
