Shura - Just Once (HONNE Remix)

We had the honour to have one of our favourite acts remixed by Exploited mainstay Claptone. The Original Version of 'I'm Aquarius' can be found on Metronomy's recent album 'Love Letters' and is a cocktail of lo-fi synths and clipped, nocturnal rhythms. Now Claptone added some of his magic which brought us to this catchy result made to be played out in the clubs. With friendly permission from Because Music.

Seb Wildblood, one of the driving forces behind Church Records, makes his debut on Let’s Play House with an EP called ‘Familiar Boundaries’.

The first of the four tracks ‘Necessary Happiness’ sets the tone of the EP with chilled house beats featuring keys by Paul Cut.

An embellished and brighter version of the first track is repeated later with a mix by Mad Sax.

Seb finishes things off with ‘Pass the Pen’, a jazzy hip-hop beat accompanied with loose instrumentals.

On Friday January 4th 2018, I was invited to play live at La Excusa on 98.9FM in Jose Ignacio, Urguay. This was the first time I played live on the aire and it certainly wont be the last. Started out with some disco funky house and kept a fun happy vibe the whole way through featuring my new song with Aric Christopher called "Pushin' (Original Mix)" I spent nearly two weeks down there and this was a favorite of the many many highlights.

With over 90 years experience collecting, selling and DJ’ing the South Beach recycling project finally started releasing their exclusive re-edits of underground and classic Boogie, Disco and Soul on the esteemed ‘Midnight Riot’ record label in 2015.
Since then SBR have released three digital eps, have had further exclusive tracks included on Midnight Riots Number 1 selling album compilations “Roller Boogie 1 & 2”, “Balearic Headspace”, “Riot in Lagos” and “The best of Midnight Riot Vol. 9”, and in addition four further vinyl releases, three on Midnight Riot and one launching their own label “SFSB Recordings” being charted and sold as far as New York City and Tokyo, and have been championed by the likes of legends such as Terry Farley, Phil Asher, Bad barbie and Natasha ‘Kitty Kat’ Probert to name a few.
South Beach Recycling have been in demand with their djing sets full of never before heard reworks since the project launched and have been caught playing and held residencies at:

Best known to most people for his early work as a Portishead collaborator and International tour DJ, Andy Smith earned his ‘Legendary’ title among crate diggers in 1998 when he released seminal mix album ‘The Document’. In the years since, Andy has continued to live up to his reputation as one of the finest and most creative DJs on the planet, tirelessly digging in the crates and emerging with pure gold. Following in the footsteps of his 2006 exploration of Trojan’s mighty reggae vaults and his two compilations exploring funk music from New Orleans and Jamaica, Andy turns his attention to disco and boogie for the very first time.
The concept for ‘Reach Up – Disco Wonderland’ was born from ’Reach Up’, a DJ collective founded by Andy in 2012 to reflect the spirit of legendary NYC clubs such as Paradise Garage and Studio 54. ‘Reach Up’ showcases 80s boogie, disco and proto house; the foundations upon which dance music culture was built.
As you might expect, Andy Smith’s selections for the album are not only delightfully obscure but highly memorable. Many titles will spark recognition, having been sampled for more contemporary hip hop and R&B tracks. Disco & Boogie this compilation may be, but it’s been put together with a b-boy mentality. As Andy himself puts it “At my ‘Reach Up’ and ‘Boombox’ nights a fair few of these will have been played, but interestingly some of these tracks might well get played at more ‘hip hop orientated’ nights i do too because of the disco breaks: tracks like “T Connection” & “Freedom.”
Containing a raft of undeniable dance-floor fillers and slept-on anthems, 'Reach Up – Disco Wonderland' also at times displays that indefinable, other-worldy, almost eerie sonic fingerprint that’s been present in Andy’s productions and DJ sets since day one. Above all, this album is testament to a youthful obsession with home taping. As Andy puts it: “just being able to officially put these tracks out that i used to play on my ghetto blaster in the streets is an amazing thing!”

After a background dedicated to push and produce some bassline sounds as drum n bass, dubstep as well as house/broken beat and nujazz as Mother Inc's moniker, he ends up loving and producing nudisco funk and re-edits..this makes him an eclectic dj can switch some different genres performing live. 
His sound and his sets now are a mixture of disco/funk/house and bass music that makes a party go boom!
