null+void has played somewhat of a musical curatorial role for more than five years now. Starting off as a blog and soon after morphing into a show on Rinse FM and later Leeds' KMAH Radio, launching as a label is a more than natural progression.

Their first offering comes in the shape of Shinra's Ball & Chain EP. A collection of four hard-bodied, no nonsense, Rephlex resonating electro jams, with third track "Fallen" immediately standing out as the most dangerous dancefloor cut. Already getting rotation from the likes of Craig Richards in fabric's room one, you can expect to hear this one in various dark basements over the coming winter months.

Shinra “Fallen” - Boiler Room Debuts

After getting ins on the debut release from Lobster Theremin's Distant Hawaii imprint, we're straight onto the next, with a track from DJ Sonikku's Secret Island EP, dropping at the end of next month.

Directly inspired by and conjured up from the dreamy 16-bit realms of the Sega Megadrive, the London-based DJ Sonikku has used the legendary game console as a proto-MPC platform to assemble Secret Island's three Internet-centric tracks. Our top pick, "On the Rocks" provides the release with a tropical intermission. Steel drums energise the track with a calypso house undertone, with the tinker-toy motif upholding the track's atmosphere of a lackadaisical beach-scape.

Secret Island drops in full on November 27th.

Was a memorable night, a festival organized in a hurry rather but which had an unexpected success for everyone. The concept was something new at that time, 9 scenes with almost all styles of electronic music, psy, techno, house, dnb, raggae, chill, etc. Around 5000 people attended, the Psy Stage being perhaps the most successful according to many opinions. Organized by Spacesheep, pioneer goa psytrance organization from which i was part of, placed in a hidden meadow, beautifully and colorfully decorated, surrounded and covered by trees on all sides. It was full non-stop while i was mixing, super energy on the dance floor. It's a special mix for me because it was during the period when i was taking a solid direction, crystallizing my own style that i felt it represents me well after a few years of experiments, and was probably the biggest event i played at up to then.
