Yeesss.. took a while but I finally got the recording from Bucht der Träumer. I'm still overwhelmed from this beautiful festival 😍 It will be hard to capture the magic and beauty of the moment but playing from 4.30am to 6.30am, from complete darkness until an indescribable sunset and wonderful morning, has been an unbelievable! Thanks everyone, who danced with me into the sunset :) Seeing such joy and smiling faces as bright as the sun in that moment... an unforgettable experience and highlight, even after quite a few festivals this year!
Sorry for the bad quality of the recording. Likewise I was quite struggling with my ears after playing a lot this weekend.. anyways this was pure magic! Thanks <3

Diskokatze (Katzenjammer Records / Jubeljahre Festival / EXIT)

 

Geboren & aufgewachsen an der Ostseeküste, zog es den jungen DJ & Veranstalter Diskokatze vor einigen Jahren in die Hauptstadt.

Mit der Gründung des Musik- und Kunstkollektives EXIT kam der Stein ins Rollen und schuf die Grundlage regelmäßige Open- Air- & Clubveranstaltungen in Berlin und darüber hinaus zu organisieren & zu bespielen.

 

Als Head des im Frühling 2019 gegründetem Record- & Eventlabels „Katzenjammer Records Berlin“ baute Diskokatze Netzwerk- & Reichweite in der Berliner Szene weiter aus.

Neben regelmäßigen Labelparties in den Clubs der Hauptstadt, gibt es monatlich neue Releases verschiedenster Künstler auf Beatport & co. zu finden.

 

Seit 2019 gehört Diskokatze zum inneren Kern des jährlich im Juni stattfindendem „Jubeljahre Festivals“ in Galenbeck, Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, wo er nicht nur organisatorisch, sondern auch musikalisch das Festival jedes Jahr aufs neue bereichert.

 

Zu seinen Referenzen zählen Playtimes im „der weiße Hase“ in Berlin, „Fundbureau“ in Hamburg, die „ROSA“  in Greifswald oder der legendäre „OXA Beach“ auf der thailändischen Insel Koh Phangan.

🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

Of course, I felt some changes, but I can’t say that is was something big. Before the virus situation (except events) I worked a lot on my Youtube channel, label Siona and production. So, during the lockdown I stoped traveling but I didn’t stop working. I had more time to record new videos for my channel, worked on new releases, searched new music for Siona and chatting with listeners. I tried to use free time for other parts of my work. Also this helped me a lot to try don’t be focus only on the virus situation.

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

I have studio at home, where I usually record videos and this mix was recorded there.

🗯🗯  What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I would like to say my wishes during these times. I think, time after virus will be a little bit easier than we have right now. I wish to all people to try to take from this situation something good, for example to do what you didn't have time for before or open something new for yourself and stay positive no matter what.

es ist donnerstag, 14:39 und ich bin noch wach.
schon wieder kurz vor knapp - doch knapp rechtzeitig genug - um kurz mal an- & inne zu halten und die sinnflutartigen - scheinbar auf ewig anhalten-wollenden wellen über sich hereinbrechen zu lassen.

denn ändern kann man das unvermeidliche ja bekanntlich ohnehin nicht mehr! 
und sich immer & immer wieder - auf dem zahnfleisch kriechend & verzweifelt - am vergangenen aufzureiben und sich an letzten strohhalmen fest zu klammern versperrt einem nur die freie sicht auf die wirklich wichtigen, wundervollen dinge, die einen umgeben. 

denn obwohl dort draußen unermüdliche stürme wüten und die krise augenscheinlich auf dem gipfel ihres seins floriert: 

- mir geht es gut! 

ich bin gesund & munter, mit nem' dach überm' kopf und auch meist nem' halbvollen kühlschrank im haus.
und obwohl mir die menschen, ihre strahlenden gesichter, die ganzen, guten - mit sporen verzierten #onlygoodvibes, die events, das tanzen und die unbeschwertheit der vergangenen, glücklichen momente sehr fehlen, fehlt's mir wiederum an nichts! 

mein sektglas bleibt eben stets & trotz all dem halbvoll und niemals leer! 

denn wir dürfen alle eines nicht vergessen: 
- dankbar zu sein. 

und leben, nicht weiterhin leben sein' lassen...

- in diesem sinne: DANKE! ☮︎

dass ihr selbst dieser ausgemachten scheißzeit soviel lebensfreude, glück & liebe entgegenzusetzen habt!
