Speculation and anxiety fuelled much of her day-to-day; though little changed in her routine, the fear something would throw a spanner in the works continued to plague her mind. She was bound by ritual, in work and play, and anything that diverted from it seemed to throw her life into disarray. But that was no way to live; excitement came in spontaneity and surprise, knowing that everything could shift within a nanosecond...

After the success of their first SHOUTS compilation, which marked their five year anniversary as a label, Bradley Zero's Rhythm Section International are now stepping up for round two, bringing together artists from across the world and across the musical spectrum to showcase the sounds at the core of the imprint: past, present and future. On home turf, contributions come from the likes of James Massiah, Adam Pits and Yushh while across the pond to the West and the East, artists like Kareem Ali, Klein Zage and Soso Tharpa join the line up and, continuing their mutual relationship with Australia, they welcome POOKIE, Liluzu and more to the fold.

ZMYSL track was composed by zenwerk in terms of a multidisciplinary art event called ZMYSŁ during which the main accent was on human senses.

Zenwerk let's you to go on an intense trip with a smooth resolution at the end. Special accent artist makes on groovy breakbeat combined with glitchy voice samples which gives it authenticity and style! Zenwerk's eclectic nature triggers different feelings in a listener, which makes it as close to be sensual as possible!


ZMYSŁ party was organised in Theatre Powszechny, Warsaw. To make the event happen we’ve invited artists from many fields to connect music, visuals, lights, performance, sculpture, scent and artworks! Blurring the line between a party and a spectacle has never been that close.

We had special scented sculpture which has become the smell of our event! It was the collaboration between a perfumer Kaja Domińska and sculptor Lola Szlupowicz. Unique in its kind spatial artworks were created by multidisciplinary artist Zuzanna Pieńkowska specially for ZMYSŁ!

‘An Apparition’ introduces the hazy feeling of AutoClub’s ‘Apparition’ EP with a thundering kick, dubbed-out chords, and a mysterious vocal sample topped off with a funky 303 interlude. The A2 track, ‘CoupCoup’, then builds late-night suspense with looming strings and chords driven by deep, groove-soaked percussion.

‘Molecular’ kicks off the B side with eerie vocal samples and gorgeous, otherworldly synth work, held together with a heavy broken beat and a morphing acid line. This is before ‘It’s You’ summarises the EP’s concept with a mesmerising exploration through propulsive percussion, deep bass and immersive, evolving chords. Lastly, ‘Delos Infidelity’ joins the release as a digital bonus with smooth, dreamlike melodies and detailed, interlaid grooves.

Mike McClure and Craig Lambert form AutoClub. Craig, known as Midnight Music Club, and McClure, going by the alias of Autokinetic, join forces to create modern music rooted in old-school sound through live performance, blending futuristic electronic music with refreshing human qualities. They now land on Kajunga Records, a label with a discography spanning the left-field recordings of artists such as Lonefront, Heckadecimal, Ryote, and Lambert’s Midnight Music Club.

Up the mountains, deep in the forest, I found these plants that live on sound and water. They don’t need light and therefore are unlike any other plants on this planet. Their peek of activity is during the night, when they are covered with a thin, black layer of nocturnal light. Night lies on these plants like a thin membrane. Their roots absorb drops, waves of sound and its vibrational intonation. When humans eat this plant they fall asleep and start dreaming instantly. In this dream they become these plants, who are unnamed, and are able to feel the pulsation of their — now own — roots. Many years ago, when language was more sounds thancodes, these plants were everywhere to be found in the planetary landscape. Nobody knows yet why these plants are only to be found in the high mountain in its deep forest. It is said that once you enter this forest it will not be easy to find your way out. Like in a dream, you need to be guided by a strong wave of consciousness to find your way out and back to the ground.

Travelling through space, they looked out at what was below them. The planet was far away now and there was no guarantee that they might ever be able to return. Perhaps they were destined to live amongst the stars. They would become the aliens they once feared as they floated from realm to realm in the darkness.

There wasn't much light up here, nor sound but for the occasional chime or hum from the machine which propelled them onwards. Sometimes it were as if it was trying to communicate with them, perhaps to let them know that they were not all alone.

Terra Magica Rec. are set to release a record from Grischerr called 'Blue Gem Cavalcade'. It's a special, pensive collection of deep futuristic sounds paired with remixes from some stellar producers. The Heap remix was our pick of the bunch.

After their 1st birthday celebrations at the end of last year, 2019 will see Needs switch its attention to our planet and environment. The aim is to raise awareness of deforestation and climate change, and they kick things off with a record featuring Eris Drew, Edward, D. Tiffany and Henry Hyde. 

2018 was a big year. After partnering with UN Women on their HeForShe gender equality campaign back in March (which featured a vinyl release and London fundraiser with Peggy Gou), they went on to celebrate their birthday with a record raising awareness for mental health which showcased the production talents of DJ Normal 4, Red Axes and Hodge. 

Keep your eyes peeled for a series of events around the UK to coincide with the release. All profits donated to Cool Earth.

Armed with only an 808, a tape machine and a grip of old Horror movie soundtracks DJ Cabbage (the rap-beat alter ego of Luca Lozano aka Planetluke.com) sat down and built the first volume of his Criminal Simulation series.

The project, which is a collaboration with Berlin based multi-faceted agency and lifestyle store Sporadic manifests in a C30 tape cassette with direct on-body printing and a longsleeve tshirt.

The tape features 10 separate tracks mixed continuously and harks back to the gory glory days of early Memphis tape rap, rough and unpolished, unapologetic and raw.
