Straight out of Rio de Jenerio these guys sent us some demos after hearing one of our podcasts. We thought they sounded different and not the usual favela funk sound that area is known for so we decided to sign them! This was a remix I did with two of my closest mates, Tom Howell (aka Q45 / Diamond Lights / Yes Yes Records) and Lefroy Verghese (DJ Ritual). We finally made some time to get in the studio together and drink loads of red wine (hence the name). This was one of those records that just came together really easily. We were so stoked with the result and it was amazing to see this become a bit of a breakbeat anthem at the time. I’ll never forget dropping it at Field Day in Sydney and seeing a few thousand people sing along! It was always such a great track to end a set with, happy vibes!
