#PlasticFreeParty is a collection of conscientious, green-hearted tunes from some of our favourite artists, all brought together to highlight the incredible work being done by our friends at Bye Bye Plastic, the disruptive nonprofit working to eliminate single-use plastics in the music industry and restore Earth balance. The album will be officially launched at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event with a party organised in collaboration with Levantine House in the luxurious W Amsterdam on release day, Thursday 20th October. A world-first, ground-breaking non-vinyl physical version of the album is also in the works.

Curated by Parisian DJ duo Chambord and released on BLOND:ISH’s ABRACADABRA label, #PlasticFreeParty brings together 14 new tracks from artists like BLOND:ISH, Shiba San, Vander & Deer Jade, Urmet K, Zigan Aldi and Chambord themselves. 100% of the album’s profits will be forwarded to the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, enabling them to increase their visibility and message.

Chambord explained how the compilation came to fruition; “In 2020, we worked with Bye Bye Plastic for our first live performance in France. During this time, we gathered a group of friends and associates to create fundraising for this cause and have been working together ever since. We met with Camille from the BBP foundation, and together with Blond:ish we decided to create a music compilation to raise funds. Together we can hopefully achieve our goals and make a difference.”

‘#PlasticFreeParty’ is released on ABRACADABRA from 20th October 2022.

Beat & Path have spent two years nurturing talent, throwing their weight behind albums from Sanoi and The Oddness and tracking Uone and Western's treks into gold-rush territory. But it's been 28 months since their last VA release, and Camp Out 001 provides the variety that was set up in 2020's Winter Sampler.

There's an eclectic range of tempos and romp factor here; this compilation being as much about dancing under trees as lying in a fireside cuddle puddle while someone plays amateur astronomer. 

The compilation's midpoint is an undeniable stomper combining everything you could want from a Uone and Out of Sorts collab: shakers pulling you straight onto the dancefloor, tryptamine vocal processing, and an edgy spoken word snippet courtesy of the late Reverend Jim Jones. 'Ba Ba Ooh' plays to its collaborators' strengths, uniting Out of Sorts' grinding Teutonic production with Uone's jester mentality. The result is something that'll be damn-near irresistible at one in the morning.

Swiss electronic music producer King Ben is set to captivate listeners with his latest release, the “Austuminzi” EP on Kindisch. This two-track collection showcases King Ben’s signature style, blending organic elements with deep, melodic grooves to create an immersive listening experience.

King Ben’s deep love for house music drives his relentless studio work, where he blends diverse influences from jazz and hip-hop to pop. His music is both melodic and minimalistic, offering a distinctive and personal sound in the electronic music scene. His dedication soon led to releases on respected labels like Kindisch and Bar 25. His meticulous approach often involves days or weeks of experimentation, ensuring each track reflects his artistic vision.

The title track, “Austuminzi,” is a beautiful exploration of organic downtempo house. Eine schönere Collab, als diese können wir uns eigentlich kaum vorstellen. Joseph hat annodazumal bei unser allerersten Party aufgelegt - noch bevor es den Namen Wuza überhaupt gab; und Zazou, der bei der zweiten Sause am Start war, wurde der allererste offizielle Wuza-Act.

Zustandegekommen ist der Remix von "Some Day" nachdem sich Joseph Hals über Kopf in die Vocals des Tracks verliebt hat. Und weil Liebe nunmal nicht käuflich ist, haben wir uns entschlossen, euch seine ganz eigene Interpretation für lau anzubieten.
