Aunt Trudy is a solo project. All performances are improvised in real time using only sounds generated by electric guitar played through a pedal board of analog effects, and then through a tube amp. In this case I also used a digital effect in the pedal board for the reverse sounds. When Trudy records, it is one mic to one mono track, and there may be digital reverb or compression applied at the mastering stage. Performances are spontaneous first takes, although there are occasionally minimal harmonic progressions or organizing melody lines that I derive in the moments before recording.
