Kimberly Nicholas is a sustainability scientist at Lund University. She is the author of UNDER THE SKY WE MAKE: How to be Human in a Warming World, and the monthly climate newsletter We Can Fix It.   Born and raised on her family’s vineyard in Sonoma, California, she studied the effect of climate change on the California wine industry for her PhD in Environment and Resources at Stanford University. 
Her goal is to understand how to steward ecosystems to support a good life for everyone alive today, and leave a thriving planet for future generations.
I met Kimberly in her yard in Lund in the middle of June to talk about her new book and what its like to be a climate scientist during this escalating climate crises, how to make people aware of the fact that we need to act now and that we need to change our exploitation mindset into a regeneration mindset and redefine what a good life is really about. We also talked about why feelings are so important and the need to make space for grief, but also for visions and how we as individuals have much more power to make meaningful change than most of us realise.

Katharine Hayhoe is a climate scientist and chief scientist for The Nature Conservancy. She is also the Endowed Professor in Public Policy and Public Law and a Professor at Texas Tech University. 
She has been named a United Nations Champion of the Earth and one of Time ’s 100 Most Influential People-
Katharine was a lead author for the U.S. Second, Third, and Fourth National Climate Assessments, hosts the PBS digital series Global Weirding, and has written for The New York Times. 

Her TED Talk “The Most Important Thing You Can Do to Fight Climate Change: Talk About It” has been viewed over 5 million times. She has a BSc in physics and astronomy from the University of Toronto and an MS and a PhD in atmospheric science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Katharine Hayhoe has been called One of the nations most effectice communicators on climatechange, by the New York times and in September her new book Saving Us A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World, was published.

Därför kan medborgarråd vara en avgörande metod för att vanliga människor ska få vara med och forma politiken. Det är ju ganska uppenbart att dagens politiska system inte klarar av att fatta de nödvändiga besluten för att undvika klimatkrisens värsta effekter.

Marcus Carson is a Senior Research Fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute.
We met at his office in late November to talk about his research on social change processes, with an emphasis on the social and political drivers and obstacles involved in developing policy responses to climate change.
His key message is to think globally, act locally and keep a really close look at the Arctic.
Before coming to Sweden with his family, Marcus was involved for nearly two decades in social change and policy advocacy at the national, state and local level in the US.
He received his PhD in Sociology in 2004 from Stockholm University, where he also earned his Associate Professorship in 2009.

Nina Ekelund är generalsekreterare för Hagainitiativet, ett företagsnätverk som arbetar för att minska näringslivets klimatpåverkan och som vill driva på för en mer ambitiös klimatpolitik.
Nina har över 20 års erfarenhet av att driva miljö- och klimatfrågor, bl.a. på Naturvårdsverket, Statsrådsberedningen, Miljöförvaltningen i Stockholms stad och Stockholm Resilience Centre.
Under 2015-2016 satt hon med som sakkunnig i Miljömålsberedningen som hade ansvar för att ta fram nya klimatmål för Sverige.
Hon är också Styrelseordförande och partner i 2050, som jobbar för att skapa goda affärer på en planet  balans.

Det blev ett spännande samtal om näringslivets roll i omställningsarbetet, vad det är som får näringslivet att agera, anklagelserna om "greenwashing", varför det egentligen är lönsamt att vara klimatsmart, om det verkligen måste vara lönsamt, om Parisavtalets betydelse för näringslivet och om vi kanske behöver en helt ny samhällsordning.

In this episode, I speak with writer, arborist, and professional horticulturist Max Paschall. We discuss his essay ‘The Lost Forest Gardens of Europe,’ published at the Shelterwood Forest Farm website.

In addressing the ever-increasing, ongoing impacts anthropogenic climate change is having on food production and land management, for those of us that descend from European colonizers in North America, what can we learn from the past? What relationship did our ancestors have with the lands they were indigenous to, and how did they adapt to rapid climatological and ecological shifts throughout the millennia? In Max's fascinating and illuminating essay ‘The Lost Forest Gardens of Europe,’ the answers to these questions come more into focus.
 
“Whereas modern industrial agriculture is descended from a distinctly imperialist Roman plantation system based on slave labor, systems like coltura promiscua [mixed cultivation] are the direct descendants of the indigenous forest gardens of pre-agricultural Europe. Since the Neolithic Revolution, an assortment of farming systems in Europe that relied heavily on monocultures and a handful of finicky staple crops often ended abruptly and violently. The diverse forest gardens of peasants, however, have quietly shrugged off ten thousand years of turbulent changes. This article is a look at the little-known history of these systems and their innovative strategies for survival.

Max Paschall is an ISA certified arborist and professional horticulturist coming from four generations of nurserymen and women. He is the founder of Shelterwood Forest Farm, a small wooded farm located in the Appalachian foothills of eastern Pennsylvania.
