Alex O’Rion has become one of the most respected and consistent artists in modern progressive house, renowned for his distinctive, melodic sound and innovative approach to production. With over 100,000 monthly listeners across major streaming platforms, Alex has built a loyal global following that continues to grow year after year.

He is an established presence on stages worldwide, having performed extensively across Europe as well as in Argentina, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea, and the USA. His touring schedule has included major festivals in Croatia, multi-city tours in Argentina, and shows across Asia and North America, all reflecting his reputation for immersive, storytelling DJ sets that resonate deeply with audiences.

Alex’s journey has seen him release on some of the most respected labels in progressive house, including Lost & Found, Anjunadeep, Sudbeat, Meanwhile, and his own Solis Records. Over the years, he has proven himself a consistent force in the scene, known for quality, emotionally charged productions that have earned a lasting place in the playlists of DJs and fans alike.

Beyond his own productions, Alex has invested deeply in growing the genre through Solis Records, his own label known for quality, consistency, and a clear vision of melodic, hypnotic progressive house. Solis has become a trusted platform for both established and emerging artists, demonstrating Alex’s commitment to nurturing the sound he loves.

SOLARIS BOOKINGS
In 2025, Alex expanded his vision further by launching Solaris Bookings, an agency focused on working with artists who share the same passion for progressive house. Solaris aims to offer a professional home for like-minded talent from around the world, providing support and collaboration opportunities while contributing to the continued growth and diversity of the scene.

Whether behind the decks, in the studio, or building his label and agency, Alex O’Rion continues to push the sound of contemporary progressive house forward with passion and precision, promising many more musical journeys to come.

The Smalltown sound is fun bass-heavy house music, combining the spirit of Canada's outdoor electronic music festivals such as Shambhala & Bass Coast, with the sound they cultivated at the legendary Hifi Club in Calgary (which they owned and operated). In 2025 they are releasing music on DirtyBird, Rules Don't Apply, Box of Cats and more.  

They've played shows across the globe including Fabric in London & U-Hall in DC, and Bestival in Toronto. With highlights that include appearances on Diplo & Claude Vonstroke's radio shows, a one-year stint in Las Vegas, the yearly Mountain Magic Tour with Christian Martin (of Dirtybird) and friends, and their collaboration with Shad & Wax Romeo "Boom Ha" being featured in the HBO show "Girls".
