Next up in the Audio Series we present: Minimal Violence

Minimal Violence is  Ash Luk (formerly Lida P.) They derive inspiration from early electronic and minimal synth works while integrating heavier UK rave and hardcore vibes.

From years of playing in punk bands, Luk’s penchant for the heavier and more aggressive side of dance music is most evident in its infiltration of the duo’s live set. The acid-tinged sets straddle the line between a relentless assault of the senses and jarring moments of disorienting chaos held together by oppressive kicks and scattered breakbeats.

Previously having released on labels such as Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour and Lobster Theremin, Minimal Violence has most recently launched into the second EP in their three-part series with Tresor Records.

DJ and promoter behind the label and party series called SPLOT. Co-curator of bass party DRUMFORMATOR in Transformator club. Member of Radio LUZ 91.6FM (Wrocław, PL). Hosting Burn The Roots show each Thursday 9-10pm (CET) since 2016. Day and night explorer of fresh, out-of-the-box electronic music. Striving to bring some new experiences to the local scene by seeking for breaky, bassy, idm-ish, culturally as broad as possible dance music. Always excited to transfer a wide range of styles and tempos from his radio shows to dynamic dj sets. He played in such clubs as Ciało, Jasna 1, FOMO, Szpitalna 1, Smolna, CEL, Ulica Elektryków, Crackhouse, Projekt LAB, Renate and already got on HÖR Berlin three times.

Young and fresh approach from Silesia.
MPE is a guest of our 216th podcast.

MPE - DJ, promoter, representative of the Silesian electronic scene, associated with the Cel club stationed in Katowice. Since the beginning of his journey, he has strongly represented the Electro/Break scene, where he reaches back to the most distant origins of these generations. Old-school sounds is what he likes most, but he doesn't shy away from modern music productions either. In his mixes, in addition to broken beats, you can hear a lot of Techno, Hardgroove as well as interesting and unobvious IDM tracks. 
During the performance, he does not limit himself to one musical genre, he prefers to break barriers and experiment, while maintaining a strong dance energy.

Additionally he is involved in running a series of events „Youngblood” - focused on showing up young faces which deserve to be heard in the DJ industry. 
MPE has played alongside artists such as dj Stingray 313, Wallis - jell, Soraä, Mejle, Sterioa, Asquith, Monster, WE LECIM, SLAP and OTHK.

MPE- DJ, promotor, reprezentujący śląską scenę elektroniczną. Od początku swojej podróży mocno reprezentuje scenę Electro/Break, gdzie sięga do najbardziej odległych zalążków tych generacji. Oldschoolowe brzmienia są tym co lubi najbardziej, lecz nie stroni także od nowoczesnych produkcji muzycznych. W jego miksach oprócz złamanych beat’ów można usłyszeć sporo Techno, Hardgroove oraz ciekawe i nieoczywiste utwory IDM.
W trakcie performance’u nie ogranicza się do jednego gatunku muzycznego, łamie bariery i eksperymentuje, zachowując przy tym silną taneczną energię. 

Dodatkowo zaangażowany jest w tworzenie eventów spod szyldu „Youngblood” - skupiających się na wynajdywaniu i bookowaniu świeżych, utalentowanych graczy zarówno z polskiej jak i zagranicznej sceny. 
Ma na swoim koncie imprezy u boku artystów takich jak: dj Stingray 313, Wallis909, Asquith,Monster, WE LECIM, SLAP, czy OTHK live…

Playing feelings: @lolsnake’s mood-inspired DJ sets speak directly to dancefloors

"I love how moody I feel in Berlin during the winters as the vibe really transfers into my music and how I play. This hour long recording is a short journey into those moods and has some nice emotional gems and plenty of twists and turns. Wrapping up the set with ‘Silent Shout’ by The Knife is quite special to me. I'm happy I found a place for it as this band was crazy influential to me after discovering them when I was 14. I really looked up to them as they have been for a long time pushing the queer agenda through their music and performances. Hope you enjoy it!​
