Uniformity is synonymous with emptiness,
and the world, despite the absence of its origin,
is born when the first difference arises.

We can always separate the world in a binary way, by extreme categories, and thus create the origin of language, make it conceivable and, in a general way, give rise to the existence of something.

Moreover, we can separate myriads of things in the world of humans, separate in a binary way,
by radical categories,
in order to fathom the full extent of its nature;

in order to understand how its nature extends from one end to the other;

in order to feel the real movement thanks to the tear rip that hides behind these two directions;

in order to make our way through the world which is completely overwhelmed by ignorance.

Nevertheless, if two extreme categories are equally powerful, we witness stagnation, fixity, and absolute immobility of balance and equilibrium, and it brings the feeling that is so familiar to us: we are petrified before a dilemma.

These are heavyweight bangers with careful attention to sound design, so approach with caution. Supercharged drums hammer and shake in Björn Torwellen’s ‘The Overstayer Protocol’. The air hums with raw electric power, zapping through soft dub chords that tumble in the distance, oﬀering a glimpse of another world while its industrial groove rattles on. Title track ‘Codebreaker’ then sees the lasers ride pounding kick drums, building in intensity before dropping into head-warping, brutish and futuristic synth hits, closing out another EP of excellent Torwellen sound design for CLR. With a career spanning over two decades, Björn Torwellen is known for his discography on labels such as De-Konstrukt, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, nonlinear systems, and CLR. He also heads the German-based educational platform SINEE, oﬀering masterclasses, guides, feedback sessions, and more alongside artists such as Luigi Madonna, ANNẼ, and DEAS. 

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.
