A spacepop project by Marco Belfiore.

Cosmic Bombero freely rework different music genera which I have been listening to since a child (electronic pop, krautrock, industrial, gothic rock, psychedelic, edm…), redefining and discussing the music I love in an unpredictable way. These “songs” are entirely conceived, programmed and played by myself: I rather re-invent the songs that mostly attract me instead of using a pre-existing sound base. I generally start from a single sound that becomes a rhythm and a melody. Around this base and through improvisation I build everything else. Secondly, I re-elaborate the piece through the editing and the mixing, generally avoiding the mastering in order to maintain a degree of imperfection and freshness. The resulting sound appears more vibrant to my ears. In the last phase I proceed with the realization of the video/visual/animations, which follow a similar creative process as a real sound production. In this case my attempt is to translate and emphasize, through customized images, all the suggestions already found within the musical piece.
