Born to a pastor and wife out of Oklahoma City, Jerrod Mitchell, honed his gifts in his father’s church before cultivating an original sound of his own. Inspired vocally by R&B titans Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan and Frank Ocean, he learned how to manipulate his warm tone with translucent lyrics, these qualities have made him an OKC favorite. J. released his debut extended play ‘the wait’ on July 6, 2020. Since the release of his debut, he has dropped multiple stand-alone singles, including 2021's "2U." On April 7, 2023, J. will release his second EP, "WE FELL IN LOVE IN DALLAS."
