“Broadcast from the basement” is made by eight tracks ranging from chill/ambient moods (Vice City, Sal is Sleeping, Encoded Feelings, Underground is Not Fashion) to more club vibes (Do What You Want, Smoky Room, Little Control, Mutation). It is a blend of musical influences (House, Hip Hop, Italo Disco, Funk and not only) obtained by merging different composition and arrangement approaches: from Jam to meticulous music reverse engineering. This album aims to deliver an evolution of the duo musical references (Mr Fingers, Daft Punk, Planet Funk, Moby, Romanthony and may others) by creating background tracks for different urban situations and emotions: from a walk towards the Club on Saturday night to a nightly walk to nowhere just to refresh the mind in the middle of the week, from the feelings of a Club night situation to the emotions of smoking a cigarette alone at the window of a 4th floor apartment on a winter Tuesday night (maybe a bit rainy also).  

“In Internet, a broadcast message is a message sent by one terminal to many other machines around the World contemporarily. In the same way, this new release is built around the idea of creating and spreading a message of love for music and “need” of music from one point, our basement studio somewhere in Bologna, to all the neighbourhoods by leveraging on technology both to transform ideas into music and as a vehicle to reach everyone without physically moving”.

Smoky Room

KM 0 is an independent electronic music producer duo based in Bologna (Italy) and composed of Jacopo Latini (aka Jabba) and Pasquale Berardi (aka Pachi MPC). Hours and hours of listening music is our food, synths, keyboards, drum machines, samplers and electronic bass are the tools to make it happen within the broad range of the electronic music.

KM 0 is a laboratory where many musical influences (House, Hip Hop, Italo Disco, Funk and not only) are mixed up to propose passionate musical experiments, that range from club vibes to more chill/ambient moods, to create background tracks for different urban situations and emotions. 

KM 0 aims to keep on spreading a message of love and “need” for music from its basement studio (somewhere in Bologna) to all the neighbourhoods around the World by leveraging on technology both to transform ideas into music and as a communication channel. 
KM 0 works to give back to the world of music and music lovers an infinitesimal percentage of emotions that music has being giving to all of us since we were born.
