Hi, my name is Michael Groome, I don't mind being called Mike. My passion for music is expressed through drumming, singing, songwriting, as well as through the piano, guitar and bass. I've played in a couple of bands, including current Progressive Rock band "First Light", and have done many other session gigs for live shows, studios, even musicals and I also give drum lessons. 

I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer from Delta, British Columbia. As an avid classic rock and progressive rock fan, I love playing music in a similar style. I currently perform in the band First Light.

We are a band originating from Surrey, British Columbia. First Light consists of Michael Groome on drums, Kevin Morningstar on guitar and vocals, Josh Hughes on bass, and Chris Friesen on guitar. We are still early on in our band life, but hope to make exciting music for much time to come.

Recently started fiddling around with a MIDI controller and recording some random tracks..
Experimenting and learning things as I go.
