Fresh from the release of the superb 'Heavy' EP, a killer combination of deep house/bass music fusion in his inimitable style, Malik Kendricks makes his bow on Groovence. The headline attraction is undoubtedly 'A Thousand Wishes', a (drum machine) handclap-heavy slab of spacey and gently jazzy deep house lusciousness that Roy Vision later turns into a heavily swung slab of hard-to-pigeonhole, Motor City style tech-jazz eccentricity. There's plenty to set the pulse racing across the rest of the EP though, from the bustling beats, Yorkshire bleeps, classic samples and shimmering keyboard riffs of 'That 90s Feeling', to the ultra-deep, off-kilter excellence of 'Bilene' and the rolling, sunrise-fresh positivity of 'Kairos'.

Now, more than ever, we feel the need to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters, their struggle for justice and freedom entwined with our own. Through the power of music and community, we amplify their voices and carry their fight forward.

Our latest release, a beat tape crafted from the heart of the Arab world, pays homage to our musicians and their timeless masterpieces. Half of the proceeds will go to various relief efforts in Lebanon, while the other half will support the MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians).

In Brazilian slang, “Samba Brabo” literally means “fierce samba” or “badass samba” – and that’s exactly the vibe: hard-hitting drums and percussion infused with jazz keys, rich chords, and punchy horns. Job done.

On the flip, a “Sem Samba” (“without samba”) edit of Samba Brabo – laid-back and more minimal.

Wild Oats proudly presents the triple LP entitled From Joy by Kyle Hall. The title is derived from the idea of finding a way to live life in a state of presence; detaching oneself from the mental, self imposed narratives echoed by society's traditions and judgements. We as people tend to be at our most honest and present in our childhood, so in some ways From Joy serves as a mechanism and reminder to return to one's youthful energetic state.

At Bolting Bits HQ we receive a lot of music submissions. We do our absolute best to feature as many artists and labels as possible to shed light on as much talent from across the world as we can. Until now, we've almost exclusively been showcasing material from signed talent, music that's already tied to a record label, be it self-released or through a third party. Today, we're launching our new unsigned series. The goal of this new series is to highlight music from talent that has either reached out to us or that we've come across in our own digging, but is music that has yet to find a home. We hope to showcase these artists and their music to the various influencers that keep up with our content and possibly help establish some sort of connection between the two parties. Instead of writing about the artists, for this series we've decided that it would be great if it could be more personal. We've asked these artists to introduce themselves and write a little bit about what makes them tick musically, their influences and anything else they choose to share with us.
