Eguzkilore
Long ago, when the world was still young and farmhouses barely rose among the valleys of the Basque Country, humans lived in fear of the night. Not because of the darkness itself, but because of what slithered among its shadows: wandering spirits, lamiak with empty eyes, and gaueko, the lord of the night, who whispered doubts in the ears of the sleeping.
Amalur, Mother Earth, watched sadly as her children trembled each time the sun set. To protect them, she wove the moon with threads of silver and hung it in the sky. Its light was gentle, but it wasn't enough. The spirits continued to cross the thresholds, mocking the vigils of the shepherds and the prayers of the grandmothers.
Then Amalur descended to the heart of the mountain and, with starlight and petals of the sun, created a unique flower: the Eguzkilore. Its center burned like the sun, and its petals resembled golden shields. The flower didn't just shine: it sang. It emitted an ancient murmur that malevolent beings couldn't bear, a melody that spoke of home, of love, of the earth's strength.

Mother Earth gave the flower to humans with a warning:

"Hang it on your doors, not as an ornament, but as a promise. As long as the Eguzkilore watches, no spirit will cross your threshold."

Since then, every farmhouse in the mountains and valleys of the Basque Country displays an Eguzkilore at its entrance. It doesn't matter if it's real or carved in wood, embroidered on fabric, or painted on stone: its power lies in memory. Because as long as its origin is remembered, the flower will continue to sing, and the night will never be truly dark.

So, that was the end of that party...

- But you were right.

- Yeah, but it was arrogant.|Stupid and arrogant.

- And is that why she left you,|because of your arrogance?

- No, I think she left me, because she found me... Boring.

- Well, we still... got five minutes.
Thank you for... telling me I wasn't boring.
For when I think of their lives," Amadeu, Stefania,|the others,".. their lives full of such vitality,
intensity...

- So much so it broke them apart in the end.

- But they lived.
Where is my life...! apart from these last days...

- and now  you're going back to it...
