I love experimenting with words and sound.  I might be looking to collaborate with a musician as my strengths lie in lyrics (and melody at times).  Not only do I write lyrics out of my head, but I also love to write to existing music, though the process for that takes me a bit more time.  I do sing, but want what is best for the song, so I'm open to others singing the songs as well.  I've had only one collaboration where my collaborator put music to an existing a capella posting and I was blown away by the skill.  Not something I've seen often, but would love to connect with someone willing to do that.  I lean toward topics that touch everyday lives, surround relationship with God, people, emotions and sometimes songs with comical flair--depending on how the mood strikes.  That being said, I have to repeatedly listen to a musical piece before deciding what it speaks and it is usually the music that dictates the mood and therefore the topic of the lyrics.  I do prefer to become familiar with how my collaborator prefers to work--whether they are looking at a quick turn-around time, if they allow for time, what agreements, etc.  before proceeding with collaborations, but I am always looking for a longer-term collaboration partner.  My preference is to work with another female.   Most of my lyrics haven't been shared in music form because they would all be a capella and I just don't want to post them that way, so I'm hoping for a great collaboration partnership to eventually  reveal itself.
