Following the success of the duo’s ‘Forte’ album earlier this year, Pan-Pot’s highly esteemed Second State label is thrilled to announce the release of the 13th edition of the ‘SUM’ various artist compilation. As a celebration of Techno music, this compilation showcases the genre’s finest, promising to leave a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide.

The tracklist, curated with precision, features a diverse range of artists, each contributing unique sounds that encapsulate the soul of techno music. The compilation initiates with the pulsating energy of “Warehouse Impulse” by Audio State, setting a high-octane tone from the outset. Ben Champell’s “Give Me That” follows, with its raw and powerful sound captivating listeners. The hypnotic journey continues with “Basic Instinct” by Bruce Zalcer, showcasing intricate melodies and driving rhythm. Chris Hirose & RNDTXTR collaborate on “Sits,” a track that fuses deep basslines with harsh percussion and pulsating synth stabs to create a mesmerising atmosphere.

The middle of the compilation is marked by the spell-casting sounds of “Keep Dancing” by Katnada, followed by “You Will Not Colonize” by Kmyle, which exemplifies the genre’s rebellious spirit. Kristian Heikkila’s “Craft,” M.F.S Observatory’s “Interstellar,” and Procombo’s “Freaks” each add a unique flavour to the compilation, pushing the boundaries of Techno. Ramon Tapia’s “DSP Engine” and Wigbert’s “Delayed” conclude the compilation emphatically with a duo of tracks that champion the true versatility of Techno as one of the world’s most celebrated musical concepts.

Each track on ‘SUM’ Vol. 13 highlights the distinctiveness of the artist’s sound while maintaining a cohesive flow. M.F.S: Observatory - Interstellar

The compilation "Morocco Earthquake Support" brings together the Techno scene to help the victims who were affected by the earthquake and who lost their homes and their belongings and loved ones. All proceeds from the compilation will be donated to charities in the earthquake-affected region.

Les Voltages 8
Les Voltages 8 was a collective born in the 1970s around the Guadeloupean musician Erick Cosaque, one of the key figures in preserving and modernizing gwoka, the traditional music of Guadeloupe. Their work fused ancestral percussion, call-and-response chants, and Caribbean rhythms with touches of jazz, funk, and reggae. The group’s music carried the pulse of resistance and cultural pride, keeping alive the voice of the Afro-Caribbean identity within a changing modern world.

Pan en tchou a pan (La Palabra)
Appearing on the 1973 album Special Groska, “Pan en tchou a pan (La Palabra)” embodies the spirit of gwoka while pushing it into new spaces. The track is at once raw and hypnotic, drawing strength from drum patterns rooted in African heritage and lyrics that act as both story and statement. It is music that goes beyond entertainment, a declaration that rhythm and word are inseparable forces of memory and freedom. Listening to it is to hear how tradition can be both preserved and transformed, echoing across generations.

French born artist Felicie joins the Soma ranks with an outstanding debut release with the Daddy Issues EP. With tracks appearing on compilations and VA’s, Felicie’s first full solo outing shows why this upcoming and coming DJ/producer is a force to be reckoned with. One of the new breed of French Techno exports, Felicie’s sound is forged in the harder edges of Techno with elements of Rave and Industrial cut in for good measure. 

Title track Daddy Issues is a straight forward, no nonsense dance floor burner. Short and cutting vocals cuts give an air of defiance as thundering drums drive hard. UK Techno don Cleric’s interpretation of Daddy Issues delivers on more groove and functionality whilst still retaining the hard hitting qualities of the original. Camgirlz keeps up the pressure with EBM & Rave influences prevalent throughout the track's main hook. First Date In The Dark Room is a decisive closer to this EP and leans on slightly more deeper, melodic elements but still has Felicie’s drive and aggressive stance.
