Rome's very own Patrizio Gabrielli (Joule) makes his Heko Records debut with the "Comfortable Disharmony" EP. A title that catches the digger's attention even before he put the needle on the disk. And if they say that a book is not judged by the cover, well maybe a record could be, especially if it's served on a colourful minimalistic sleeve.

Opening proceedings, the super-deep "Astra" welcomes a combination of analogue spacey sounds and fat bass notes, rolling smoothly under a delicate airy and mild pluck that is constantly changing. The kick hits hard and digs deep, creating a groove also at an emotional level. The whole piece, as the title suggests, evokes cuddly melancholic feels, and the swingy 909 percussive pattern is liquid and well-balanced, perfectly melting in the whole.

Dailycid founder and long time producer in the game DJ W!LD is set to showcase his sound once more, this time with a digital-only release entitled, ‘Born To Be Free’. Although already having decades of experience behind him W!LD shows no signs of slowing down with a work rate quite like no other, recently pushing material on Personality Disorder and own brands Milq, Spit&Die, and Dailycid, all while maintaining solid output on Bandcamp. 
 
First up is ‘Sunshine Coast’ a slow burner that leads you down a bumpy road, until arriving at a deep break, a moment to pause and take a breath. From here on in the track begins to flourish into an uplifting number. Cutting edge dance floor material, that will resonate with the many. 
 
The second track of the EP ‘Born to be Free’ is a touch more direct than the first, from the off the sturdy kick lets you know you are in for a ride. An inspiring female vocal flashes in and out throughout the duration of this heads-down affair, ice-cold drum arrangement, and punchy production, ready to be used with force. 
 
This two-track EP is not to be underestimated, as W!LD delivers his well-rounded sound once more, maintaining club sounds needs during this period.

PREMIERE: DJ W!LD - Sunshine Coast Dub [Bandcamp Exclusive]

Swiss-born, Berlin-based artists Sauna and Wyatt have joined forces to present the release on their new KNDK Records imprint and they deliver 3 original groove centric club cuts for the funkiest of minimalist dancefloors.

We kick off our look at the ‘Planet X’ EP with the hypnotic A1 ‘Land On Planet X’. The stripped-back grooves twist and turn alongside a bumping bassline that bobs and weaves around taught percussion that lays the groundwork for some of the tracks well-crafted twilight moments. These deeper moments are short-lived as the focus is most definitely on the perfectly swung grooves that intertwine the full A-side of the record.

Flipping the record over B1 track ‘Atipico’ is much more minimal leaning with similar musical elements found on side A but the drums are more crunched, the groove has been dialed up a notch. B2 ‘Grey Sand’ is a more upfront cut with the excellent kick and bass combo working perfectly in tandem. The opening salvo from Sauna and Wyatt and their KNDK Records imprint is a solid one and hints at great things to come.
