Reform have established themselves as one of the 'ones to watch' amongst the new breed of techno producers. Originally signed to fellow Italian Luca Agnelli's Etruria Beat Records in 2015 the pair have gone on to have a series of successful releases for some of the most popular labels in techno, including Pan Pot's Second State and Carlo Lio's On Edge Society, attracting remixes from Amelie Lens, Charles Fenckler, Nikola Gala and Marco Effe along the way.

“I have been aware of their music for some time”, says Anja Schneider. “You can hear the very high production quality and they are now developing their own niche within this modern techno sound. So I was excited to learn they had been supporting recent releases on Sous Music and that they had tracks they felt would work specifically for my label. Ludovico and Andrea have a great attitude towards their work. It's very refreshing to work with such ambitious producers”. 

Kicking things off in main room style is 'Nightcall'. Working up some peak-time tension via a tightly constructed driving groove with its pounding kick, nagging hook and rubbery squelches bringing a stripped back, pumped up techno vibe to Roach Motel's classic 'The Night' acapella.  

'Inside' follows a full-on yet hypnotic path, with a trippy repetitive vocal wrapped around thunderous beats that drive through to a series of cavernous breaks and crowd-pleasing drops.

While 'Back In Time' creates a collision of brute force and playful funk with its stomping groove, rising stabby riff and plenty of filtered breakdowns ensuring the energy stays high.

Steam Shape is bringing its current sounding for their return on CODEX on July the 7th!

The Budapest based techno duo, SveTec and Nils, has taken a long journey until their current alias as Steam Shape. Both of them coming from a musical background, they turned from the piano to the decks quite early in 2003. Their obsession to the electronic music scene was increasing from the first time as they experienced its true spirit. They started their joint venture in the year 2005, when they decided to launch an event series, which would give them the possibility to express their musical vision on a regular basis. 

Two tracks: "Dusk" and "Growl" are ready to deliver!
‘Dusk’ is rolling with a steady drum-section and answering percussion elements, accompanied by the moving hats, harsh clap and ride. The synth stab and the vocal-ish element is pushing it to a peak-time banger. As the break is building up from scratch, the energy and vibe is developing into euphoria. 
‘Growl’ is going loopy and hypnotizing on the EP. The tooly track is going along with a constantly evolving drum section; all the elements are setting the perfect groove. Solid beats and on-point percussions, complemented by a hypnotic vocal and catchy break to hammer in the morning hours.

One of Italy’s most prolific producer/DJs delivers a brace of new tracks on the ‘Rebound’ single.  Luca Agnelli has traversed a career that’s been influenced by both the house and techno originators alike.  From Todd Terry and Frankie Knuckles, to Derrick May and Jeff Mills, Agnelli’s sound has been in constant evolution since his DJ career started in the early 1990s.
 
His techno persuasions have now graced labels like Soma, Planet Rhythm, Be As One, and his own Eturia Beat imprint.  
 
‘Rebound’ is a reverb soaked acidic roller, whilst ‘Radicate’ hypnotises with pulses, tones and vocal stabs looping over a heavyweight rhythm track.
