It's hard to believe that it will be exactly two years ago since we launched our beloved label. It really has flown by in the blink of an eye. And so, to mark the occasion of 24 successful months in business, we bring you release number 24. You could call it OCD behaviour but we like to think of it as symmetry ;-)

Step forward Mr Jaap Ligthart, a Dutchman who has been on our radar for some time now with a number of fantastic edits and reworkings but is now making the natural transition into original productions. Together with Ms. Alice Rose, a vocalist who's pass credits include guesting on tracks for the likes of Gabriel Ananda and Eagles & Butterflies, they've created something rather special. 

‘I Know Change’ is a sensuous piece of work. Deep House in the very real sense of the phrase. 
And that is something that our remixers on this project have truly understood. Both Him Self Her and Show-B have delivered exquisite interpretations that give the whole package an overriding sense of class and quality. 

Him Self Her keep things deep and moody with a restrained, atmospheric, sophisticated piece of work, whilst Show-B heads into slightly tougher territory encapsulated by some distinctive rollercoaster percussion effects that have already seen Ame, Dixon, Sasha, Mano Le Tough & Adratique showing their support. And if all that wasn’t enough, they both deliver vocal free dubs too! 

So then, just to recap, it’s hotter than Megan Fox in Agent Provocateur and cooler than a Polar Bear’s toenails. What’s not to like?

Raining for Ages is the final release of a captivating Acado trilogy on TWINTOWN. It focuses on our desire for convenience and its resulting surrender of freedom. For centuries we have removed ourselves from the rain by retreating in our concrete fortresses, which have merged into grey metropoleis. 
Raining for ages guides you through this context with a warm, analog bass line, interesting guitar elements and smooth, accentuated vocals by Lisa and Jonas. 
While the „Hi!Kai’s & Erlenbrunns's“ playfully melodic remix with its subtle jazz elements creates a breathtaking atmosphere, we are pushed to the dance floor by „Lars Landen's“ dark, multi-facetted techno-esque interpretation. 
„Matthias Seibert’s“ dares to venture into a progressive house direction that catapults you straight back to the 90's.

Raining for Ages ist das finale Release einer fesselnden Acado auf TWINTOWN. Es thematisiert unser Verlangen nach Bequemlichkeit und die sich daraus ergebende Bereitschaft zum Verzicht auf Freiheit. Seit Jahrhunderten entziehen wir uns dem Regen, indem wir uns in selbstgezimmerte Steinkonstrukte zurückziehen, die zu grauen Metropolen gewachsen sind. 
Mit warmen, analogen Bässen, verfrickelten Gitarrenfragmenten und auf den Punkt gesetzten Vokals von Lisas und Jonas führt der Originaltrack tanzbar und verträumt durch die Thematik. 
Während der Erlenbrunn Remix melodisch verspielt mit subtilen 
Jazzelementen eine atemraubende Atmosphäre erzeugt, schiebt uns Lars Landen mit seiner darken, technoiden Neuinterpretation massiv und vielschichtig auf die Tanzfläche. Zur Vollendung der Vielfalt katapultiert Matthias Seibert den Track mit seiner Progressive House Interpretation geradewegs zurück in die 90s.

White Groove is an absorbing mix of rumbling sub bass, soft, textured percussion, and ethereal pads. Loose percussion and a tough kick carve out the initial vibe on C onnect To Server . A hypnotising, low-riding synth is the final layer and helps generate even more groove into this peak time roller.

Label owners, Parsifal and Tommy J Gren, show up again on KINESEN with two introspective and emotional songs. The tracks are characterized by deep melodies whilst maintaining a strong energy in addition to the emotional load, a typical signature of these two producers. Besides the original tracks, Parsifal and Tommy have remixed each others tracks to give a different vibe to each song. The 4-track EP, Memories Live Forever, opens up a door into their world and their influences navigating from melodic house to indie dance all the way through to techno & afro house.

Italian-Swiss DJ and composer Parsifal lives in Paris, where he’s a well-known face on the electronic music scene. He grew up in a very artsy, musical family, learning classical piano before eventually getting a taste for more urban music.

Early in his DJ career he scooped ITF’s Italian champion title in 2009, and he also made runner-up in the DMC France 2008 championship. He studied contemporary art and new media at University of Paris 8, where the theme of his Masters thesis was Music in 20th-century Art. His deep desire for artistic expression led to musical experiments with his composer friends Specialivery, Mess Me and Tommy J Gren. The trio went on to found electronic label Kinesen in 2014.

Parsifal has spent the last decade single-mindedly developing a style that allows him to convey his feelings through club music. His inspirations run the gamut from Luigi Russolo and John Cage to new age ambient composers like Brian Eno and Vangelis, but his grooves are infused with house and hip-hop drum-machine sounds and he mashes it all up with vintage and modern synthesizers. His strongly percussive tracks blend instruments and samples into uplifting new melodies that create deep, organic moods and textures.

Today Parsifal’s releases go out on the likes of international label Connected Records. He’s been supported by world-renowned DJs at major festivals, so his best sounds are reaching wider audiences. Solomun, Tale of Us and Âme have spun Parsifal tracks, and he has recently shared a stage with David Meyer, Whitesquare, Sobek, Kalyma and D.Y.A.

Plenty more collaborations and musical projects are in the pipeline for 2020, so stay tuned!
