It'd be no surprise if this one's heard copious amounts throughout the Ibiza season, especially with HS82 having a residency at Pacha. Full-on from the off - powered by rattles and bellowing drum kicks - it quickly descends into rolling chaos, the type that's more or less guaranteed to do some damage on White Isle dancefloors.

Joeski & Doc Martin - Vajra EP 

Joeski returns to Poker Flat Recordings in collaboration with Doc Martin for yet another reminder of why they are held in such high regard within the scene. Having cut his teeth in the early 90s, the NYC house veteran Joeski teams up with L.A. based Doc Martin to bring more heat to this latest release - the Vajra EP.

Featuring the vocal talents of Lillia, the guys lay down a signature deep, tough and funky groove for her to work her magic on. Through a minimum of elements, the track buries deep into the consciousness, before Lillia brings in subtle vocal flourishes to deepen the intensity.

'Leary's Revenge' is a shade tougher in its approach - a thick, insistent kick coupled with precise percussion to create a true late night banger. Utilising their feel for dubbed out effects and space, Joeski and Doc bring in some tripped out spoken word vocals to round out the track.

Incepted just three years after the beginning of the Kompakt venture in 2001, it's safe to say the Speicher series holds a very special place in both the heart of the label and its audience's. Taking the helm for the 102nd instalment in the catalogue (and the first Speicher to feature 3 tracks) we find an eclectic squad of producers triangulating from all corners of the globe but united by their boundless science of the groove. Longtime friends turned studio companions, @enzoelia (of Balearic Gabba Soundsystem fame) and @ musumeci join forces for the first time on the unfaltering late night hip-swayer 'Gothic Safari', kicking things off with a relentless deep dancefloor epic à la Âme. The vibe then swerves into further savannah-friendly audio territories with unheard French newcomer @lamarinemusique who, like his glorious predecessor Oxia (but is it fate?) operates out of the mountain-ringed city of Grenoble, here popping up with an off-axis downtempo electro hybrid of unknown provenance. Looping the loop with maximal tension and mind-piercing depth, rising Bolivian duo @animalprintduo serve up the aptly named Badalamenti-esque roller 'The Last Night Of Laura Palmer' - a track that won’t fail at recalling the ‘Twin Peaks’ aficionados the bizarro ambiences of Lynch's acclaimed TV show all the while following a rather straightforward, frontally club-ready sense of style, resulting in a fine balance between down-to-earth pragmatism and unbridled reverie.

"Open Air" is my first original track in 3 years with Edu Imbernon. This is a very special work because we're very good friends and we made a lot of stuff together in the past, from "El Baile Aleman" (our first track together) til "Beautiful Story", the last one... and also released on Suara. 

"Open Air" is an anthemic and Summery techno house track for big rooms and open air parties. We've tested it on many floors and the result is always the same on the crowd: hands in the air and wild spirit. Please test it, we're pretty sure you will get the same effect in your party. 

Our friends Tube & Berger have done a lovely deeper version. So if the original is too much for you, take it easy and get this one.
