After appearing on our sister label Truesoul and also the A-sides Volume 2, dubspeeka releases his first full EP on Drumcode. Basing his sound heavily on his uniquely dark and twisted melodies, dubspeeka has created a brooding, atmospheric EP that capture each individual feeling on the techno scale from bouncing, energetic tracks to melancholic offerings. His use of Percussive sounds add energy to tracks such as Primary K290 and his array of eloquent lead lines add depth and character that can be heard on Primary K293.

Dense & Pika’s latest Drumcode release comes in the shape of a heavy four track EP, ‘Calf EP’. The four tracks showcase Dense & Pika’s signature industrial and dynamic style, each track bringing its own unique sound to the release whilst being unified by the sledgehammer intensity throughout. The release is laden with sporadic vocals, clanking samples and serious kick drums throughout - another heavy hitting, ear whipping release from Dense & Pika.

Having been on the scene for over a decade, Wehbba has actually released a ridiculous amount of music. Labels like Tronic, 82 Recordings and Systematic have acted as a home for the artist but his forthcoming work on Padley's is some of our favourite to date.

The title track does the business but fellow Brazilian ANNA has served up the remix and it's more of the excellent same we've come to expect from the chart-topping producer. ANNA's seemingly got the golden touch and when she's not climbing the Beatport charts she's getting booked all over the world.

<p>Effenem return to phobiq with a full release, presenting four slices of futuristic Techno. The stomping title track kicks things off, boasting looped-out vocals and the most menacing of stabs. &#8220;Nyx&#8221; continues in the same vein, relying heavily on the riffs and acting as the perfect precursor to &#8220;Nortia&#8221; where we are treated to haunting synths but with a more stripped-down approach. Closing up, &#8220;Phyxis&#8221; pushes the melodic overtones even further, with sneaky electronics interlaced throughout the clever arrangement.</p>

For the Techno edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we’ve dug deep into the archives and pulled out the finest tracks that define the darker side of Yoshitoshi’s history. This includes remastered versions of classic tracks like Dish Out Bum’s “Gak Trak” Chiapet’s “Tick Tock,” 2 Smokin’ Barrels’ “Basses Loaded,” and Timeline’s “Clockwork Orange,” as well as modern cuts like Victor Ruiz’s “Rollercoaster,” ANNA’s “Momentum,” Nicole Moudaber’s seminal remix of Alcatraz’s “Give Me Luv”, and Loco & Jam and Frankyeffe’s “Splitting Minds.” To spice things up, we’ve included three brand new remixes from Moonwalk, label regular Olivier Giacomotto, and Dubspeeka. Moonwalk takes on Phil Kieran’s “I Love You,” creating a deep mix that emphasizes the Italian duo’s knack for catchy, earworm synth patterns and hold-your-breath build-ups that deliver in the club. Olivier takes on one of the earliest entries in the Yoshitoshi catalogue, Hani’s “Irieheaven,” flipping the originally squelchy 303 tune into one of his bold, signature hands-in-the-air techno anthems. Dubspeeka remixes Sharam’s classic from 2009 “Secret Parkway,” turning the track into a moody late-night warehouse banger complete with spooky synths and gobs of low end. Following up the deep and uplifting Yoshitoshi 25: House compilation, the Techno edition takes you to the other side of the coin and once again demonstrates the label’s diverse history and versatility. Since it‘s inception in 2017, Anja Schneider’s Sous Music label has been forging a path as the main home for the Berlin-based tastemaker's own productions as well as providing a home to works by artists from the current vanguard of house and techno. Rekids boss Matt Edwards debuts on Rekids Special Projects under his prolific Radio Slave moniker with ‘Command Z’, marking the twentieth release on the offshoot series.

Undeniably one of house and techno’s most sought after and beloved producers and remixers, Matt Edwards kickstarted Special Projects as a techno focused series in 2017. Since then it has gone on to host incredible artists like FBK, Shinedoe, P.Leone, Hemka and Dustin Zahn, not to mention SRVD - Edwards’s collaborative project alongside club kid Patrick Mason. Three years later, the Berlin-based Brit finally graces the label under his most revered
pseudonym.

‘Command Z’ opens with roaming synth patterns, slick kicks, delicately placed plucks and a haunting soundfloor which gives a sense of allure alongside it’s thundering rhythm. On the flip, ‘Command X’ situates itself perfectly for cavernous warehouse spaces or intimate club environments with its rattling snares, arpeggiated keys, lively saturated claps, rawly reversed pads and rippling cymbals.

The fourth work of art by Introversion on the label, is a mature take of what he is known for. Three years after his debut on the label this artist gave us only the best from a technical and emotional point of view, always being a step ahead.
